I did not receive any letter of collection even though they claimed they mailed one to me. I started having my personal checks refused over the $4.99 amount owed that I had no idea was in collection. When I called the company, I talked to one of their representatives and all they did was become defensive when I informed them that I had never received any notification. Their automated payment kept going into a loop and would not take the amount I was to pay and had to talk to their representative. I think that this company is very irresponsible in collecting amounts, to resort to having my personal checks rejected and my credit ruined over their lack of efforts to contact me makes me furious.
Certegy did not send a collection letter to me to collect an amount of $4.99 that I could have paid if I had received a letter or an email or phone call from them. Certegy chose instead to have my personal checks rejected by retailers without my knowing the reason behind the rejection. Essentially my credit has been ruined over a $4.99 amount owed to GoDaddy which I could have paid to them via a credit card that I have on their account. Both of these companies have failed me and I can only say that I am angry over the strong arm collection tactics Certegy uses whereas a letter could have been sent. They claimed they had mailed one to me, I stated that I never received it and their answer was "our letters do not look like regular letters and may have been thrown out as junk mail" - we look at all of our mail whether it is junk or not. This company is a rip-off and GoDaddy you should not use them!
I have cashed my payroll checks at King Soopers for years until today when they were unable to do so because "certigy" would not authorize, I was given #02 reason and certigy's toll free number... I had option iof #1decline of personal check or #2 decline of payroll or government check, after entering the required information I was given information in regards to personal check cashing then recording trying to sell membership to cash checks...ok, gotcha, if they decline chek cashing and you are forcd to buy v.i.p. to cash cheks these b-------s can double dip on the check cashers and the MAJOR corporations who pay for their services and declining checks to cash is a BIG way to kose money aqnd I'm not talking about the 3$ fee I'm talking about the purchases made after your check is cashed....Walmart.King Soopers, Safeway, etc. this certigy really has the market cornered are corporations ran by people who allow their customers to be treated this way, clearly they are! When I finally got to speak to an overseas scripted person she scripted that various factors made Certigy unable to cash my payroll check but refused to tell me what factors those were and repeated her script like a robot or person not based in U.S.A. and english or script is their 2nd language, I told her there is only ONE reason a payroll check should not be cashed in this day and age which is insufficient funds! Asking for a supervisor was a WASTE of time, she only repeated the script. I don't know about the general population here in the US of A, but, I find it extremely troubling when the people we give our hard earned money to here in the US of A do business with a company located overseas, how un American, forget the dishonest practice of not cashing our American checks to sell vip memberships but screw these corporations I am sick and tired of our jobs shipped overseas and scripted by crooks! Companies like these should be outlawed and pay huge taxes to equal the savings of hiring foreign workers, instead the good old congress gives them tax breaks and refuses to pass unemployment extensions to people who are a victim of who they decide is worthy of our taspaying dollars because congres is in their back pocket! Everyone needs to slam these Certigy using Merchants with complaints and demand they do busines with a reputable company who employs people in the U.S.A! I am so glad I saw Rip off's complaint file on Certigy so I can refer King Soopers to it just for starters because B.B.B. has an alert as well!
