Central Power Systems and Serv, Liberty MO Reviews

This encounter was straight out of a Sixty Minutes scam investigations play book. They incorrect diagnosed the check engine alert on a commercial truck while charging a two hour diagnosis that took less than an hour. It was fortunate we sought a second opinion, first on the phone to compare pricing/information and later for the actual repair. This place pushed with all the ploys of a used car salesman for a $5k repair that turned out to be a loose wire and cost $225 to repair at the other repair shop. Their hourly labor is 30% higher than usual (first red flag) and they wanted the repair started without any quotes (second red flag) and spouted stuff I knew to be patently untrue (last red flag) while trying to justify ripoff pricing. Once their unnecessary repair was declined, they suddenly informed me they had to charge extra to reassemble the truck. Nice final touch was to then tell me and "since it was after everyone went home, there was no one to protest the extra charge to". This one earned a complaint to the deceptive automotive repair department of the State of Missouri.
