50,000 Seventh-day Adventists are meeting in the Alamodome for their 60th quinquinial General Conferece sessions. We expect to pay exhorbitant parking fees. Driving into the Central Parking paid parking lot is an oasis in the midst of parking mahem; large open parking, one central paying booth, select your hours of parking needed, place your paid parking pass on your dashboard, go about your business of walking a mile to the A!lamodome.
We paid $20 for the longest possible option, 8 hour parking. Nothing at the pay booth said Car Will Be Towed At Owners Expense $200+ per tow! Only a phone number when called says "Offices are closed, please call during business hours." My car was GONE from the parking area. "Did someone jack my car! Did we stay over the parking limits? Call the police - report stolen car."
Police arrive, while we talk with another unhappy customer that has lost her car as well. The police alert us, "We, the police, have appealed to City Hall with the shady practices of this "private parking" company, to no avail. I guess San Antonio likes shady dealers taking care of their guests?
The police politely and sympathetically show us where the sign has the towing company and correct phone number to call after hours. The ONLY signs warning unsuspecting guests are on poles immediately as you turn off the busy street into the Central Parking lot. What motorist in their right mind is going to read the small print warning as they are entering from a busy street?
My friend had a rent car luckily, so we could go on our midnight adventure of finding the River Walk Towing lot on the other side of San Antonio. Thrty minutes later we find construction road blocks and back alley dark streets all dead ends. Several calls later to the towing company, we are reeled into their money making net.
One woman was physically shaking as she tried to get the correct identification papers and $219 to get her car our of jail. Her parents had to come and rescue her at nearly midnight to finish the transaction. I was next, upon questioning their practice of picking up cars and hauling them to some dark hidden part of town, she sharply spouted at me "see here, you had more than thirty minutes to go to your car and pay the extra parking fee!" That made me feel much better about paying the $219 dollars - more than I just paid for my Nikon camera that I had planned for months to purchase. Now I have to lay down $219 for a service I never intended to use.
San Antonio - please take this Central Parking out of the center of your beautiful city, it is a blot of darkness of disrespect to your guests. Who is going to walk nearly a mile from the Alamodome after a long day of meetings to move their car or pay another $15 for an extra 30 minutes of parking? This is outrageous.
I have had a horrible experience with Central Parking in Lexington, KY. I have been working at my job for 5 months now and it's downtown and requires us to have a parking pass with Central Parking which our company pays each month. When I received the pass from Central Parking I was told that the lot I was to park in is down the street on the left. So I found a lot right down the street on the left with a big Central Parking sign so I figured this is the place I should be parking. I parked there every day for 5 months. One day I go out to my car and have a parking ticket on it. I thought this must be a mistake, maybe they didn't see my pass or something. The next day I park in the same place and received another ticket. I called them and they said I was parked in the wrong lot. I explained that I had been parking there for the past 5 months and haven't received a ticket or any sort of indication I was in the wrong place. They said I was supposed to be parking in a lot 500 feet past the one I was parking in, which does not have a Central Parking sign in it. I have a Central Parking pass yet I'm supposed to be parking in a lot that doesn't have a Central Parking sign which is past the one that does have a sign. That isn't confusing at all...
Later I come to find out that 4 other employees at my work had also been parking in the wrong place due to their confusing directions and signage. We all received tickets and we all called trying to explain that they can't blame us for not knowing we weren't in the right place when clearly your parking attendants who are supposed to be giving tickets out everyday have been asleep for the past 5 months. We asked if we could get off with a warning and start parking in the correct lot now that we know where that is and they said "All tickets are valid".
A week later I hear that one of the employees that received tickets had called the corporate number and gotten his tickets voided after a two minute phone call. I figured I would give it a shot before I gave in and paid them. I spoke with a woman who kept saying "We should definitely be able to take care of those for you" then she saw that the location manager had most likely left a comment on my account saying that the tickets are valid and the woman I spoke with said it may take a few days but you'll hear back from me once we figure out if we can void them. A week later I still hadn't heard back so I decided to call again and due to a snow storm where their corporate office is located, no one was able to answer the phone for 3 days. I decided to email the corporate office and ended up emailing back and forth with a gentleman who kept telling me that the location manager has the last say and that they were not agreeing with voiding the tickets. I told him multiple times that a colleague of mine in the exact same situation who actually received more parking tickets than I had got all of his voided and all the corporate office could say was "There is nothing we can do." The unfair treatment of their customers is absolutely ridiculous. Not to even mention their employees who were supposed to be giving out tickets every day didn't do their job for 5 months. If I would've received a ticket the first week I started parking there, I would've had no problem at all paying it but this is ridiculous.
I bought this parking paying $75.00 every month, almost 3 years in winter time they dont clean the snow, in agreement they say we will not the clean the snow this two days i park other garage and pay almost $ 40.00/ they supposed to clean city of chicago dont clean private place, thorugh rip off web site i am asking the city of chicago to close this parking spot or clean the snow

please help me to get rid off ripped off
please help to take legal action to recover the park
dont take any parking from this parking sopt dont take any parking from central parking
Beware of this parking lot, it seems they have a scam going if you make a mistake by not or forgetting to display your ticket on the dash board. Even though I paid the amount for me to park there, which is done by machine, if you dont display your ticket on the dash, you will find your tires locked up so you cant move and they require $75.00 up front or they tow your car away. If you show proof you paid but made a mistake by not displaying the ticket, then if you want your car you have to pay $10.00 for the error. So please dont park there other wise you might get a surprise of your life. The agent that came to take my money was a waste of a person with a squeeky voice and thinks he has you and acts like GOD. I wanted to knock him out by the way he talked to me and even after calling the police, he still demanded $10.00. STAY AWAY
