Had thought this was part of PCH lottery and replied to information received. First notification signed by Mary Walsh.
Received message I had won $25,000.00, ..March 2015. signed by managing director and executive director of Central Certification Committee.Olivier Soillet. Official seals place on the documents in front of 5 commission members. I have kept the paperwork that come in the mail. No internet or fax information.
Received letter requesting reply in five days "to have the formal and absolute guarantee of receiving this amazing $25.000.00 payment - announcement is totally serious!" No payment was sent to them as PCH always states "no purchase necessary" to win.
Next letter requested mandated payment of $12.99 for premium award........stating I could even ask for confirmation of this amazing award, as well as for all the details of the dispatch of the "$25,000.00 to your order" from our offices who are are at your disposal for any further information. No contact information was given. Address for return payment was Central Certification Committee, PO Box 1257 BG Maarssen, The Netherlands. Sighned by Pierre-Marie Beaudoin, General Treasurer.
Called my financial counselor who immediately asked if I had sent any money. "pleased check up on this".........which I did. Found it to be a well organized scam with a great deal of money being spent to make it appear authentic and a reliable source.
While this seemed to be too good to be true......at my age it would have meant a lot. Will be at my bank in the morning to stop payment on check and block any future attempts at hacking my account.
Not sure I will continue to read Publsihers Clearning House ads. If they are aware of this scam they need to know that there is only one way these crooks could have received the information sent to me.
