For anyone looking for a trucking school, I would strongly suggest NOT to come to celadon trucking school.
If you like to be treated like cattle, lied to constanly, jump through hoops, like to stand around and not get quality training, wait 2 to 4 hours waiting for shuttle van to pick you up and take you to and from school and your hotel because they have overbooked the training facility behond comprehenson because of there greed
they tell you its a 4 week class and tell you they have single dorm rooms for you to stay in while your at school. Its all a big fat lie. do to over crowding the class take around 8 weeks, you stay in a hotel around 20 miles away in a s***** part of town where you share a room with a person you do not know and spend around 4 hours a day waiting to be shuttled between the hotel and school.
I cant even tell you how many people just walked out
Wow, just about the sh** experience I have ever had in my life. I have been in some crappy spots but Celadon is one of the sh**. It is very unethical. First, they tell you three week and ten weeks later you are still there. The school at Quality Drivers, which is pretty much Celadon is run by a crazy violent man named Scott Vogel, who curses and throws things at people. The instructors are okay, but Celadon's business model is bring as many in as possible and thinks letting someone touch a truck for fifteen minutes a week might be the answer to showing them how to drive a truck. They bring in what could only be described as a criminal element at the school and half will tell them they could care less about their schooling, they just need to be there to keep government assistance coming in. Some of these fine stellar people go up to Greenfield IN and stay there at the free hotel Celadon provides and commits a slew of felonies on the population around that would include, shoplifting, armed robbery, robbery, theft, auto theft, assault and so on. Then you get your CDL, perhaps because you had some previous experience doing this and you go over to Celadon and these idiots feed you bs lies on how Celadon is the biggest transportation company in America. (nope UPS is and Celadon is 35 in the nation) and they are nowhere near the top in refrigerated carriers like they claim they are. The terminal is a former prison and smells like feces when you walk in the door and yeah it is just plain nasty. The final insult is to wait on a trainer, which after three weeks I said I was done waiting. I walked on these jokes and took a job elsewhere. They threatened over their contract, which might have been written by a retarded kid I guess because my cousin who is an attorney laughed his ass off when he read it. So, if you are considering Celadon, I would reconsider. Stay far away.
