I am really unhappy about bait and switch scam played by cashforiphones
I was quoted $215 for a 64 GB Samsung Galaxy SIII and $200 on a 32 GB Galaxy Note. Both items were 9 months old. I sent both mobiles in their original boxes with all the accessories. I even sent the protective sleeves with them
It took one week for them to receive my items. Finally, they called me and claimed that the items were not in pristine condition. They had scratches and they were in used condition. I was offered $210 for both items.
I asked to return both items and told them that I also took photos of my mobile phones before I shipped. Then I was told they would re-evaluate and had to ask the manager. The next day they quoted $240 for both items. I rejected the offer again. Then they told me that they cannot send back the items and I had to accept the offer. I am really unhappy about bait and switch scam played by cashforiphones.
My device was taken by cash for iphones. The company offered me an amazing high quote for my device at first, but when i emailed it to them, they reduced the quote to $90 instead. I put my whole efforts to get my device back, but these people didn’t return my phone to me as it had already been recycled. Dealing with cashforiphones was a terrible idea! do not use this company.
I found cashforiphones on a web search at the end of march 2015. I was qquoted on their online system $263 for my at&t iphone 5s 64gb. I ordered the box, got several emails to hurry and send in and then nothing from them.
I got got an email that said my check was on the way, for $44. I emailed them through their websiye and was told that i did not respond in 3 days to their offer, mind you, i never got an email to even indicate they received my phone let alone an offer.
At the same time gazelle paid my. Wife, $190 for an identical phone. I was told to call and talk to their purchasing department, like the other that have complained, but you can't get through. From the looks of this company is becoming famous for unfair and deceptive trade practices.
Sellers of electronics beware, they will steal your electronics and send you nothing. I hope that the state attorney general investigates these low life's.
Cash for iPhones does not pay what they offer nor do they follow thier own return policy. I was originally quoted $137 for my iPhone but when they sent me the payout email it was stated I was due $17. I sent a return email the same day and followed up with a phone call within the retun period. However my phone was not retuned and after 6 days of attempts to reach someone who could actually return my device, I was told my phone had already been processed and could not be returned. When I told them I had replied within the policy period I was put on hold and another person came on the line and said they would pay me an addtional $16. After informing them this was not acceptable and requesting my phone back. They were disrespectful toward me and I informed them if they could not return my device I intended to file suit. They then hung up on me.
As other have already made complaints, I too was quoted a fair value for my thrree cell phones. I sent them in (first mistake) and waited for a response. An email then stated a check was on the way. Received check and it was a quarter of what was quoted. Cant get a hold of anybody, and no response to E-Mails. Requested phones to be returned and to date no response.
