Here's our experience that we had with Cardinal. Moving from Eureka, California to Hilo, Hawaii.
It was a living nightmare for me and my wife.
The day of the move, they "strong-armed" us for another $5,000 dollars, or else they wouldn't take the items that were already on a previous estimate. As it turned out we proved that they were trying to exaggerate and "pad" our bill with an overestimation of the square footage needed for our move.
At the receiving end, there movers took over a month to deliver the container that was sent by Matson and sitting on their dock for weeks in Hawaii.
Once the deliver actually happened, they swamped us with 8 delivery "boys". They were calling off wrong numbers and duplicate numbers to mix up our count-of of the original manifest of items.
We had 11 boxes missing, and to this day(over a year later) have never been found. we also had many pieces of fine furniture damaged and one dresser destroyed with a broken leg.
My grandmothers heirloom dishes were all broken, dishes that were well packed in foam and cardboard dividers in a specifically made for dishes moving box, that was well marked "fragile and glass".
They also tried to delivery someone else's tools and golf clubs in our load. So I suspect they delivered our 11 boxes to someone else?
Stay clear of this company, they are not only expensive, but also cause a lot of heart ache and anxiety at the worst time, during a move that's already stressful!
BTW, Cardinal had the nerve to offer us $200 for our claim with the requirement that we must give no negative reviews, which we turned down!
