I bought a $100 American Eagle gift card for $74.55 online on February 1st 2015 at Cardcash.com. I tried to buy some clothes on Americaneagle.com using the same giftcard on May 21st and it didn't work and immediately I called American Eagle customer service to find out what's wrong with the card and they reveiwed the card information and told me that the card was used 100% on January 2nd 2015.
Cardcash.com sold me a zero value card. The same day May 21st I sent an email to cardcash support about this issue and I received a reply on May 25th saying that the issue has been forwarded to the claims department and the issue will be addressed within 1-2 business days and I have never received a response since then.
I called customer service number (1-800-227-4214) on May 27th and spoke with the manager and she said that the refund will be issued to my PayPal account within 24 hours. After 24 hours I called them again and they apologized and gave me the same response saying that the refund will be issues within 24 hours and I have never receieved my money back.
After several emails and phone calls again I called them today June 12th and they told me that they can't refund because my purchase is out of their guarantee period (45 days). They have never told me about the quaratee information when I spoke with their Customer service representative or managers.
How do they expect/ask the customer to use the card in 45 days. Giftcard never expires and I bought it for future purchases.
