What a NIGHTMARE...stay away from Car Factory Outlet in Miami. My son and I researched, shopped and visited several honest dealerships before calling Car factory. Over the phone, their staff confirmed price, all fees, NO hidden costs or dealer fees, the availability of a car before we set an apt. We arrived to look at our car, was lead to a back room and needed to give our personal-financial-SS# information before going on the car lot. They only showed us a more expensive car(4-5 minutes) and then brought us back in to discuss price. Two men began to explain monthly payment options for the car we were not interested in. After asking the cash price, the Mgr mentioned their policy...DRUM ROLL PLEASE...all internet, website and listed prices are 80% of the price...after a 20% downpayment! WOW...We asked him to clarify and realized the SCAM. They never had intentions to show us our car and we don't even know if they had it...we never saw it on their lot.
We then asked for the sheet that had all of our personal info and were denied. The Gen Mgr then said they had the right to keep all of our info. We soon left without our original financial sheet.
The next day we discovered they ran my credit without my permission or knowledge. Their entire businees is set up to falsely advertise to get people to show and then hide the real cost and sell the benefits of a 72 month payment plan. DO NOT get caught be this scam!! DO NOT let dealerships run your credit without your knowledge! DO NOT do business with this dealership. This event has created much interest....attourneys, police and other agencies will be involved.
By the way, my son and I found/bought a great Kia later that day in Coral Springs....
