I was desperate and in need of a reliable vehicle asap as I was starting a new job. I should've walked away when the first 3 cars I wanted to test drive would not start, but they claimed it was due to them sitting. Ok, that was believable. ..I finally found one that i thought was decent. I signed all papers, gave them the down payment and my trade in. I got in the vehicle (which was way overpriced) . I drove off. Well not to far because i got to the end of the road ,stopped at the stop sign and it stopped running. I had to walk back to car credit city and tell them to take it back. The water pump had went out so they hauled it off. I then picked another vehicle. A 2008 Kia optima. Of course it had the same mileage and price tag as the car that I previously picked out but it seemed to be ok and again I was desperate. Well within the first week I reported issues. Problems with accelerating, sputtering and wanting to die. I took it to firestone at their request and of course....no problems found. But the claimed they changed spark plugs and did a transmission flush. 2 days later I picked up the car. Still the same problem. I reported it. They told me to take it to another firestone. Again, they found nothing. I took it to a mechanic who was a friend. He changed spark plugs that were obviously never changed. He also changed both coil packs and wires. I paid out of my own pocket just hoping it would help. Unfourtunatly it did not. I reorted it again to car credit city. I again took it to firestone and again nothing was wrong. Approximately 5 months later and after reporting issues and them saying nothing was wrong. I was on my way home from work when my car would not accelerate. When i went from 60mph to 40mph i pulled off an exit. The car stopped. Would not start. I called them. They could not help me,but stated to have it towed to firestone. I was on the side of the highway for over an hour! Tow truck came. I called firestone who stated they were closing and I coukd not have it towed there. I had it towed home. I had my mechanic friend look at it. He would try to fix it. Upon trying to fix it he found that harmonic balncer fell off and broke a piece of plastic off and shoved it into the timimg belt . Pistons hit tge valves and basicly blew my motor. I again called car credit city. They said to tow it to firestone. Of course, yes my motor was shot. I was angry and told them they should replace the motor since i reported problems while under warranty. They stated...I dont know what to tell you. No we will not replace the motor and that it was my responsibility. I asked for another car. Again they said no. I ended up having firestone relace my motor with a used one and it was added to my loan. I was again without a car. Finally , I got it back. 2 days later driving to work I noticed it was again running funny. It was sputtering and would not accelerate. I looked at tachometer and it was bouncing all over the place. I again called car credit city and firestone was to return my call. They never did. I drove my boyfriends truck to work. He returned my car to car credit city. Of course. They sold it at an action for a very low price and now they sent it to an attorney who is trying to collect $ 10,400.19 . No matter how desperate you are, i would never go to car credit city!!
