I leased this vehicle when I was going through a very rough time, my van had broke down on me and I was a single mother with a full time job and needed a vehicle to get my children to daycare/school and myself to work....I went to car city because my credit wasn't established enough to go anywhere else. I only got approved for 2 of the vehicles on the lot so I chose a 2006 malibu. They told me that they thoroughly inspect their vehicles and I trusted their word. The same week I left the lot things started going bad, the first time I took it in was FREE of charge, but they had to fix the struts, a dent in fender (not my fault, it was there before I leased the vehicle), and tightened down my steering column.
The same day I got my car back from them , my drivers side back window fell off track, the heat shield was loose, also I came out one morning to start my car and my back door wouldn't shut. Then a couple of days later I was driving with my child in the car and turned a corner to have my other back door fly open, thank god they were buckled in. I was irate and called car city to have these things fixed and they told me they aren't covered because it's not a safety issue! They called me back with an estimate and told me they would fix 1 door but not the other. I told them to fix what was covered and it cost $100 for the second visit. A couple of weeks after I get my car back my hazard lights went out and I'm not even going to bother calling them because the 3rd visit will cost me $250!...stay away from car city if at all possible, these issues my car has does not seem like they were thoroughly inspected. I've had my malibu for almost 5 months.
