Beware of Capital Bank and their Sky Card! I got this card to rebuild my credit several years ago. I deposited $200 for the secured Sky Card. Now that my credit is satisfactory again, I decided to close the account and get my deposit refunded. Easier said than done. I closed the account on March 18, and was assured that my deposit would be refunded in 4 to 6 weeks. On April 2, I noticed the account still showed open and Capital Bank had tacked a $1 finance charge on my zero balance. I called them again and was assured that it was a glitch (yeah, sure) and it was removed. They said my deposit should be arriving any day. Today, April 29 marked 6 weeks and still no deposit returned. Another phone call. This time I was told the deposit had been mailed Friday. They stated I should receive it by the end of the week, or possibly the first of next week. It does not take a week or even 4 days for mail to travel from Maryland to Tennessee. These people are lying through their teeth and should be avoided at all costs. If you need a secured card, get one from a reputable bank, and not this bunch.

Eric johnson called me saying he Was cacapital bsnk. He said I was approved for a loan. I mever got the loan and he got the down payment.
