The Canadian Wilderness Inn, this is the worst place to work... The owner does not care, there are no over time hours paid and no benifits. The manager that they have running the place is a pill popper and can not function properly, she looks and acts stoned out of her mind all the time. The employees are lied to on a constant basis and put on lay offs " because there are no hours" just to hire new people at greater amounts of money then what the other employees were making. The food is left for days for the guests to eat because " it is too expensive" to waste it... There have been situations where the staff was afraid of guests because of agressive behavior and confermed drug use and the managers response was " well if you feel you are not safe then I will work the shifts" , the proper thing would of been to have these guests removed. Staff have been promised hours that are not there to promise and left other jobs for this manager, to find out that they have been lied too, and 3/4 of the staff do plan on going to the labor board to deal with this situation.
