I have the misfortune of being a California Born Resident . The California Health Department headed by Heather Fukushima ( Fukishima ) Sold The contents of my birth Certificate along with millions of other unsuspecting people to Background information brokers and Ancestery search sites. Yes, I single Heather out because after much research, I found that she was instrumental in this process. Her birth certificate is NOT in California so her information remains private.
Of course, most of the companies refused to remove my Birthdate, Mothers maiden and Social Security number. Aretheyreallysingle aka Peoplefinders demanded to see my drivers license. Whitepages stated that they don’t answer individual emails and made it difficult to opt out. I finally found a phone number 1-206-973-5100. Radaris Keeps adding new links after promising to remove me. Some required more information , like phone number and email to remove it then the stole that information and added it to the site. Now it's against the California Health Dept’s rules to disclose such information but thats after it was already sold. My ID was stolen by using these sites and I've had the daunting task of going site by site and opting out. Ancestry.com put up a huge fight then after removing me my name etc. appeared on their sister sites. These people are extremely hostile when asked to remove your information. I even wrote to them and had my letters ignored. If this atrocity happens to you, go “site by site” and request removal using the opt forms, follow up because they say its removed when it’s not. DO NOT GIVE MORE INFORMATION TO ANYONE. If they get stubborn find out who’s hosting their site on ,whoishostingthis.com and contact them stating that this personal information being exposed is abusive and opens you up to identify theft. I’ve even found out the Owner’s Names of the Various sites. I wonder how they will feel when their information is exposed.
