Origianlly started as Point Center Financial, the Harkeys took neteggs from trusting retirees under the guise of investing the money in "secure real estate investments with low loan to value ratio". In reality the investments were unimproved raw land and new investors helped maintain the facade of liquidity. That's until the Harkey's extravagent lifestyle and political aspirations drained the fund dry. Once investor's asked for accountability, the Harkey changed the name of their company from Point Center Financial to Cal Comm Capital LLC as an attempt to avoid repaying investors. Cal Comm Capital is still Dan Harkey and the same key employees working from the the same office and desks as Point Center Financial. The name change was simply a means of avoiding creditors and the multi-millions they stole from investors. Hopefully the Harkeys will meet the same fate as the Madoffs.
