In the middle of March I joined CR England truck school... was drug screened in the 1st day (urine) over the next week I went to there excruciating schooling process I received my learner permit ClassA... the morning I was called off of the yard and sent to the office where I was put in a room with a lady that handed me a phone... it was the laboratory that they used. she explained to me that I had drinking to much water prior to my drug screening. She said I didn't fail it but I would need to take another because it was deluded. I told the woman the handed me the phone what the lady said and she replied to me No you're getting kicked out of the trucking program. and that I needed to get my stuff out of the motel room out of the school and get out. The transport bus gave me 10 minutes to get all of my belongings out of the motel room where I had been staying at over a week. After I rushed to gather all of my belongings and ran back down to the transport bus. they then dropped me off at the Greyhound bus station in the middle of Gary Indiana. I don't know if y'all have been there before but it is not a nice part of town and that is the nicest way I can think of saying it. I was left with no money or no where to go if it wasn't for my parents buying me a bus ticket I would have been stuck. When I got back to Alabama I went to the local doctor's office and took another urine test and passed was not water diluted.I did not do drugs and it was ridiculous for them to treat me this way and it went on my Employment record... and I haven't been able to get a truck driving job with a decent company since..
I am a Fed Ex employee. I was terminated by C.R England for refusing to break law. I documented everything. They had to pay unemployment for my downtime. I recommend a different job. I was there a year and it was misery. They try to get you to quit so you owe. only 4 of 100 of my classmates finished their contract. only the strong survive and payroll will pencil whip your low income the whole time. Try Prime or Schneider.
I tried to have this company route me through to get my license before it expired. my licensed expired and they still persisted to get me to run loads when I said swap it my license expired. Continued sending load assignments to force me to break law then terminated me.
I am writing this as an extremely pissed off wife. My husband left for SLC in March 15, 2014, a 30 hour bus trip. Upon his arrival he started his classes the next day and was really enjoying it. He started his "driving" in the lot. This was even going well. His 17 days were up and no word what-so-ever about when he'd be on a truck. So he had me go online for him (he couldn't get on a computer there) and apply at a company that is local to us.
He got a call back from this company and went and told HR that he was quitting, to which they replied, fine go, but you won't have a licence and you have to find your own way home. So he was stuck....next day they went and told him he was getting on a truck. The instructor was a DI*K to say the least. My husband called me every night and I would hear this guy in the background saying things like "Oh the b**** is whining again" things like that. He twice left my husband sitting in the truck for 3 days while he went and got hotel room with his various women (trainer's words).
Mid April we had a family emergency and in trying to get ahold of the company to see what I had to do to get him home the DM yelled at me to which I wasn't very nice about, cussing at him. He kept saying he didn't see my husband's name on his books. Finally finds the name and proceeded to yell at me again to which I replied "You d****s need to get your s*** together and call him". He got home the next day and things backslid with things at home.
He was able to get back in a truck, but they dropped him in Burns Harbor, IN. They left him there for just shy of 2 weeks, in which time I had to borrow money from MY dad 3 different times so he could even eat. It took them over a week to tell him he needed to come to the facility to "straighten things out" so he could get on a truck. He got everything there taken care of and it was another 2-3 days before they even told him he was approved to get back on with a trainer. He's now back on the road, but extremely unhappy. The next time he gets back here I'm picking him up and telling CR ENGLAND TO SCREW THEMSELVES.
