Tom from Bruiser Labradors will not return calls or make good on his contact to refund his $800.00 fee. Our puppy had gotten diagnosis of Parvo and I believe Tom knew they were sick before we picked her up. He moved from his queen creek house - no doubt due to contamination there. Good luck to the property owner to sell now.
On June 29 th we picked up our puppy lab from Bruiser Labradors and after a few days we took him to the vet after he seemed very sick. We had him tested and found Parvo was causing his condition. Tom, the owner has yet to reply. If there are other sick puppies from this litter please take action to contact Tom but get them help.
We purchased a beautiful golden lab from Bruiser's Labradors 2 years ago. Our older lab got cancer and we were so excited about getting out new puppy. Immediately after bringing him home, we noticed he didn't like to run much. A lab who does not run like crazy or want to play catch?! We had him looked at during each normal vet appt. At his 2 year check up, when they were doing the physical exam, he yelped when they were moving his hips. They did x-rays (very costly) to get a clear diagnosis. Yes, our loving dog has hip dysplasia. He is now on maintenance drugs to help his joints. We love him dearly and would not return him now, but I am really amazed that they could do something like that! Especially for the cost of these pups and the fact that many of us think of them as a family member. I hope they do get cause and have to return funds paid to all the others that appear to have other serious issues with the puppies they are selling. Shame on you!
I also purchased a lab from bruiser labs who was diagnosed with hip dysplasia @ 1 1/2. He has over 50% dysplasia in both hips. I am so upset that this guy is getting away with this. I saw two more reviews with the same issues. Dr Lirtzman at Animal specialty group is an amazing orthodo dr.
I wanted to provide an update on what has been happening with our pup. We are in the process of getting new x-rays since he is now over the age of two. Tom has stepped up and offered to pay for those x-rays at a Vet's office in Glendale.
Like all of you, we purchased a puppy from Tom Nicolaus, owner of Bruiser Labs. Our pup was born Dec. 16/17th, 2013. By the time he was 7 months old he was already experiencing issues with his hips. We received the devastating news of hip dysplasia from our Vet in July 2014. Confirmation from an orthopedic Vet occurred a few short months later, Oct. 2014. He has been on pain meds to manage the pain as it occurs. The options for this dog to live a normal and long life are very, very slim. It is especially heartbreaking as we had waited almost 2 yrs.to get a pup, after our beloved Lab mix had passed away from bad hips.
I have been in contact with Tom since we purchased this puppy. He is aware of the diagnosis, but is stalling to provide a refund. I wonder if any of you would be interested in a class action suit? Or have you managed to gain compensation from Tom?
I know Tom has completely removed his Bruiser Lab Facebook and Website and is now breeding under the name Queen Creek Labradors.
Buyer beware.....It will not be a happy experience. I am dreading watching this pup go through the pain as this condition will only continue to deteriorate and lead to a short life.
