On may 26, 2015 i was contacted by phone from a Sarah Johnson from Brookfield Solutions and i had been approved for $8,000 and all i had to do was send my first 3 months payments of $574. On that day i informed her that i didnt have the payment and said that she would still email me the copy of the contract. Which i received and didnt have the funds until June 2 ,2015. In which sarah Johnson called and left a voicemail saying my loan was gonna expire on Friday june 5, 2015. I called back and informed her of my concerns because it was the last of my money and my rent money. I really couldn't afford to lose anything. I emailed her my pay stubs, my acct info and faxed the contract papers which seemed real and nothing looked out of place. I got to western union and she gave me the recievers name and country. It was then that i expressed my concerns again and threatened to hang up and she reassured me that there wouldn't be any problems. I sent the money in the amount of $598. Three hours later i get a call from a Douglas Ferguson saying the hang up was that i needed to send another $700 because my background wasn't so good. Told him to send my money back and he said that it would take 14-30 days. Told him that i didn't have 14 days to wait because that was the last of my money and my rent was due in 3 days. He said that it was their policy and he would see about getting it to me sooner. We called him back and the number we called was a different company called Covington Financing. He told me that we were rude and that the reason this happened is because we didn't take time to shut up and listen to him or read the contract. Told him we were gonna find a lawyer and he said if we did that he would stop the process of the refund and it would take longer. Told him to send money back and he said to call at 10am on June 3,2015 to follow up. He hasnt answered. We did investing ourselves and informed the correct businesses that people were using their names. Filed a report with bbb of upstate new york, the ftc, and western union.
