Brett Bernstein pretends to be an enourmously sucessful entrepeneur to get investments but is really a con artist and a fake. Brett Bernstein got 50k investments from my three friends for equity in his next startup after telling them he had successful starups in nutrition, shipping, sales training and medical device companies. He's now disappeared for a month and won't return calls or emails. My friends weren't able to catch onto the simple fact that not only is this guy not an expert in all these fields he knows nothing about any of them. Brett Bernstein according to people i latter met that actually know him well is a failed actor who started a failed app called honk which he sank hundreds of thousands of investor dollars into. I also find out he lives in a run down studio apartment in santa monica and rides a bike because he can't afford a car. Since finding out where he lives he still refuses to return my friends money and completely denies he did it.
