Firstly, this company offered a free trial and ended up charging 80$ to my card without my consent, but since I had no choice I started using the site and playing the game to get the gift cards to at least get my money's worth. There were a number of purchases I made on this site most of which were gift cards of small amounts for a slight bit smaller amount because I didn't want to invest too much time on answering all of the trivia. I ordered and my purchases finalized, so I play the waiting game so I can get these cards in time to purchase things for christmas with these cards. Unfortunately the cards never made it to me, somehow 15 days after the initial purchase of the card, I hadn't recieved them in the mail. I emailed customer service twice, and made at least 10 different phone calls to the 24/7 line all of which only one was answered and after telling the rep my issue (mind you this after waiting on the line for around 35 mins) she hung up. I called back and got no answer. Needless to say I don't think i'm getting what I purchased even after being forced to purchase a membership. Overall I spent roughly 120$ and got nothing from it.
On July 11th, 2014 I signed up for the 3 day trial. On July 13th I sent in a support ticket asking to cancel my account after reading their FAQ's. On the 15th I was charged $84.90. I called customer service confidently and foolishly thinking this was just a silly error on their part and it would be easy enough to resolve. Wrong! I spoke with a supervisor who was rude and unhelpful and refused to remove the charge even after acknowledging that I had sent the cancellation request on the 13th well before the end of the trial period. She told me all she could do was cancel the account to ensure it would not be billed again. Buyers beware. BrainBuys will rip you off.
Claimed a 5 day trial period, but call to cancel trial and then it was a "3 day trial period" then charges you TWICE the normal 30 subscription fee. And would not compromise on trying to cancel on the 4th day, like i was suppose to before the 5th day.
