Don't

Stay away, stay away, stay away. I can't say it enough. I was not able to rent the car I reserved for monetary reasons. I tried to call them after I booked with them. They have no customer service. Yes, you can call to get a reservation but that is it. I was on hold for 2 hours trying to get customer service to help me. Finally I had to email them and this is how they communicate to their customers if there is a problem. Now I understand their are terms and conditions but even though I did not rent the car they still took the whole amount of my rental amount. I wouldn't have had a problem paying a fee but the whole 362.00 dollars, for what? Just the fact that you cannot talk to anyone if you have a problem should set off alarm bells.

dont use booking group

I rented a car from booking group and paid a portion via credit card. When I arrived at car rental all cars were gone. The car rental company gave me a printed paper with reason to provide to booking group which I scanned and emailed. I emailed booking group telling what happened. I repeated my request 2 weeks later whereupon they informed they need up to 28 biz days. I waited 28 biz days. I called them only to find their us number was forwarded to latvia and only took calls during latvian biz hours. I have asked for a refund and they said they found out they had been using the wrong email address of the car rental company and that I had to wait 28 biz days from the time they read my email, not when I sent it and that reading emails takes a week

I will soon be calling credit card company to let them get my refund. Don't use booking group.

Con Artists

I prepaid my reservation for a rental car in San Francisco but I would not get the car from the car rental because it would not take an international driver's license. I was told I would get a full refund. I called the so-called customer service number, listed as a Washington, DC, number. Apparently, the person who answers the phone is based in Latvia, Eastern Europe. It took several hours before someone finally answered. I was told I have to send an email explaining why I did not get the vehicle. The so-called customer support group will decide whether to issue a refund or not. The person on the phone was ruled and could barely speak English. I would never have used their services if I knew they were based in Latvia. I will file a complaint with the state of New York where I live. I hope they ban them from doing business in the USA.

I rented a car from Economybookings.com for a visit to Seattle. They advertised a good price, and asked that 20% of the quoted price be paid upfront....which I charged to my Amex card.

When I arrived in Seattle and went to pick up the car, the amount that Fox (the car rental company) requested was more than 2 1/2 times the quoted price. According to the rental agreement, I was supposed to pay $368 on arrival.....but, by the time all the additional costs and fees were added in the total amount was more then $900!

I immediately cancelled the reservation and another that I had made for Denver....but was now out $175 between the two reservations.

I called their main office in England, and was told to send an email to their customer service center. That was more than a week ago, and I have still not heard back. I even called another of their offices in the USA and was told that they were unable to do anything on their end.

Today, out of frustration, I phoned Amex, who reversed the charges and said that they would investigate the situation.

There was another couple at the Seattle airport Fox office who had reserved with Economy Bookings and had a similar experience.

I have been renting cars for 50 years and have never encountered a situation like this. I would like to insure that others don't get duped by this dishonest and deceptive company.
