I was banned from Arma 3 back when arma 3 was on beta many years ago, I was randomly banned for no reason I tried to make many disputes trying to prove my innocence but they refused to listen, years after my ban I thought let's buy arma 3 on a new steam acount like they said in order to play arma 3 again you'll need to purchase the game on a new steam account so in September 2017 I bought the apex edition which was on offer I downloaded and played with the steam workshop mods on a server that allows mods, I stopped playing it until July 5th 2018 where our said something about too many scripts so I assumed it was the mods I had installed that was from the steam workshop, I disabled some mods that were removed from the steam workshop by its author and disabled since incompatible mods, and went back in the game on the regular server I go on which is naksquad to face a global ban, I don't cheat or anything and it's pretty upsetting I contacted battleye and I hope they correct this issue if they won't correct it I want steam to know of their scamming business practices.
I was one of the many who was mass banned with the release of the DayZ mod. With that mass ban I was given a new key from Bohemia Interactive and was set free. ArmA 3 came out and all was well until 11/4/13. I opened up ArmA and I was global banned.
I was stunned as to be banned. I immediatly sent an E-Mail to BattleEye including my Ram dumps from the month and got a message saying that his Anticheat is impeccable. I did research and had found out that BattleEye can ban you if anything is awry with the .exe of ArmA. Some viruses have been known to cause BattleEye bans such as what they say on the front of their website, "Violations may be backround softwares running that are interrupting or doing anything with the protected program. Please read the terms of use and check your pc for any malware/addware/software/program that might be a cause for this ban. Otherwise your ban appeal will be worthless.".
The EULA you sign states that they do not need to tell you why you are banned which also adds to the murkyness of the situation. I had just lost 90$ in video games. I cannot see what programs had caused this because I recently updated my system (new hardware) so my RAM dumps from the month are gone. BattleEye is in short one of the worst AntiCheats with public relations and ban appeals. To play any of the games again I have to spend another 60$ on Arma 3 and 30$ on Arma 2.
Battleye is meant to be used by Bohemia Interactive to observe their games in order to ban players who have broken the rules of the game this is the theory but in fact Battleye seems to globally ban innocent people aswell maybe even intentionally or randomly and they are able to ban everyone they like to and there is nothing and noone able stopping them doing so.
A global Ban in this case retract the ability from the customer to use the bought product (playing the game). In order to play the game again the customer has to rebuy the game on another Steam-account (Steam is required to play this game).
Battleye don't provide any proof to justify their bans and therefore can claim whatever the hell they want and this is just the snag, because this just means they are able to retract the bought product from the customer without any refund and without any need for justification.
Battleye pretends to be an anticheat engine but it is in fact a tool used by Bohemia Interactive to scam on people. Bohemia Interactive praises Battleye to be absolutely without any fail and that everyone who gets globally banned by Battleye has deserved that ban, because they want to make the community believe that all banned individuals are cheater in order to muzzle all people who gets banned and forcing them into rebuying the game this works because everyone want to believe that all people who gets banned are "filthy cheaters" and they want to believe that Battleye is the perfect anticheat engine.
Bohemia Interactive claims furthermore to have no power over the bans of Battleye in order to be able to ignore all banned people who are complaining about being banned without any reason. Bohemia Interactive just redirect any complains to the Battleye support page: http://www.battleye.com/support.html
Just at the top of this site you can read the following statement:
"No details about your ban (including evidence) will be revealed. Hackers would love to have access to this information and therefore we cannot disclose that."
With this rather lame excuse they are able to ban everyone without any consequences, because the victim of the ban can't easily proof to not have broken any of the rules and even if the victim could i'm very certain Battleye would still insist that the ban was accurate because of pretended "proof" they keep back from everyone.
People who actually write an email to [email protected] just as suggested on the site generally just get the following automated email-message and then nothing more no matter of the content of the email or how many emails were written:
Dear user,
Thank you for contacting BattlEye support. Please read the following section(s) corresponding to the type of your request to get immediate information.
Global Bans
===========
IMPORTANT: Note that all global bans issued by us are valid by default. While we carefully investigate every case, please understand that we will not manually re-confirm the validity of your ban to you. Therefore, if we don't get back to you within the next 72 hours you can assume that your global ban is valid and will not be lifted by us. Sending the same request multiple times will not accelerate our reviewing process in any way. Also, note that we will not disclose any details (including internal evidence) about your ban.
If you are globally banned without having attempted to cheat, please include your exact (!) global ban ID and the name of the game. The ID is shown in your global ban message ("Global Ban #ID"). Without it we won't be able to process your request.
If you did attempt to cheat please understand that your global ban will not be lifted by us. We do not accept any excuses for why you used cheats. Cheating is forbidden on all BE servers, so if you failed to comply with that rule you will have to live with the consequences. Global bans are permanent and no exceptions will be made.
If you are globally banned from ArmA 2 / OA (including the DayZ mod) without ever having attempted to cheat it is safe to assume that your cd-key was stolen and used by a cheater. We will not be able to lift such bans, so please contact [email protected] to get further help on this. BI support is actively helping theft victims by issuing replacement cd-keys in most cases. However, keeping your cd-key safe is your responsibility and therefore it is not guaranteed that you will receive a new one for free. In any case, a new cd-key is required to be able to play on BE-enabled servers again.
If you are globally banned from Arma 3 or DayZ (standalone) note that your entire Steam account is banned from our system. Please understand that we cannot lift your ban even if your account was hacked or used by someone else. The safety of your account is your responsibility and we cannot assist you with that. Note that this is solely a BE policy, so you can still play both games on BE-disabled servers. If you have trouble doing so please contact the game support.
CD-Key-related Issues
=====================
The cd-key system is not administrated by us, so we cannot help you with such issues. Please contact the game developers at [email protected] for help. If you know or suspect that your cd-key was stolen and you got possibly banned as a result please contact them as well.
Admin Bans (including BEC "GameHack #X" bans)
=============================================
Those are third-party bans and we cannot assist you in any way with them. Please contact the server admin or community for help.
Game-related Issues/Questions
=============================
Please understand that we can only assist you with BE-related issues, so please contact the game developers for help.
All Other Issues/Questions

We will try to get back to you ASAP. Please understand that due to great volume it can sometimes take a few days for us to get back to you.

So just to sum everything up:
Everyone can get banned without any reason, noone needs to reveal any proof,
noone feels responsible for a ban without legal cause and Battleye (The only contact who can do anything)
don't even seem to read any email send to them.
For myself i can only say that i loved the game Bohemia made (dayz Standalone)
and that i never even considered to cheat, i often complained about cheaters in this game,
because it's just a really dick move to cheat in a game like this one and now i'm globally banned
for pretended cheating... to me it feels like the cheaters have banned me just for hating them...
man the irony would be so funny if it wasn't grinding my gears so hard.
ARMA 3 randomly bans players to force them to re-buy the game. I have bought hte game twice under 2 steam accounts, around 100 hours of game time I have been banned off all battleye enabled servers. The first time was at 96 hours the second time was at 123 hours game time.
I contacted Bohemia Interactive and they told me tough luck to contact battleye, battleye took 3 weeks to respond with ""buy the game again"". With some doubt thinking maybe my cd key got hacked or it was a glitch, and being a loyal customer to the ARMA series I bought the game again. I have since been banned a second time. This company is a ripoff. I found a post saying to report the company here and a few other places. I am doing that now, I hope I get my money back but my bank said since I bought the game twice I will likely only get my money back one time if the investigation goes well.... I can not explain my level of frustation against this company.
Do not get rippedoff by these guys please I do not want to see anyone loose 60, 120 dollars or more.

I got banned on the game DayZ Standalone, the reason for this is not known.
I am a legit player, and I have never cheated in games.
I came across a person who was killing me and teleporting me everywhere.
I feel as my rights have been abused by another player and battleye.
The message I receive whilst connecting to a server shows as follows;
Battleye Global Ban (#0ecbf1)
So here is the situation. I am getting really frustrated by this.
I feel honestly quite disgusted and upset.
My rights have been abused by another player in game,
Also I feel that this needs immediate action to be taken.
