BNC ripped me off for $500 for an appraisal that was factually incorrect and they did not order. BNC got ahold of my credit card with the idea that I would not be charged unless necessary. They charged right away. They did not order the appraisal, it was already completed and on top of it factually incorrect (the fact that we are on septic and not sewer). Avoid unless you want to fight improper credit card charges by these people.
Applied to BNC National Bank for a first time home loan since they were on the List of VA Loan Mortgage Companies.
Begin the process of closing by submitting all required documents within less than a week and then signing all VA required and other Mortgage required loan documents in less than two weeks. The contract was also singned in less than two weeks.
Paid the ERNST (escrow) money as told that was required.
Thereafter was told we had to pay for home inspections, terminate inspections, etc which we did.
The results of these inspections/surveys went to BNC National Bank as sent by the Realtor.
Out of pocket that was was over $900 for the inspections and surveys.
Then after more than 2 months the BNC National Bank said they could not finance the loan.
I was told we would not recieve any money back that we paid for the inspections/surveys.
The realtor tried to blame us and the BNC National Bank Remained silent.
Absolutely TERRIBLE HOME Loan experience.
Bottom Line: BNC National Bank should have told us within two weeks or so if there was going to be a problem with the Loan. They had all the documentation to make a loan approval determination.
This way we would not have paid for all these inspections/surveys.
BNC National Bank never told use there was a problem so we continued on with the Closing process.
Now we are out of pocket for over $900 for absolutely nothing and the BNC National Bank is remaing silent.
BNC National Bank asked for these inspections/Surveys and the Realtor had them done as requested.
BNC National Bank should be removed from the VA list of authorized Mortgage lenders and they should pay us back for the entire amounts paid for the inspections/Surveys but they have not responded
to our inquiries after telling us they could not approve the oan after more thatn 2 months.
