We hired this company to move two beds, headboard, two nightstands a refrigerator, washer and dryer, rug, and approximately 15 boxes of misc. goods. When I talked to Mr. Casco, he said that all of our items would be wrapped with protective pads ad shrink wrapped. They did not wrapped any items and when asked why they were not, they said, "We forgot the materials". Since we had to be out of our home that day we had no choice but to allow them to continue moving our items.
Their first item to remove from our home was our refrigerator. They disconnect the waterline from the ice maker and did not completely close the water valve. The water flooded the wood kitchen floors and a portion of the dining area causing over $2,400 of damage. It took them 2 hours to get the refrigerator out of the kitchen and loaded onto their truck. It was unwrapped and unprotected. The new owner’s handyman arrived as the refrigerator was being loaded on the truck and used a pair of plyers to close the water valve.
Once arriving at our storage unit, the owner of the storage facility said that this move was one of the worst he had ever seen. It took Mr. Casco and his young worker, a relative we think, over 10 hours to move the items mentioned above. I have sent Mr. Casco all receipts for the damage repair. He has refused reimbursement us our out of pocket costs. Also, Mr. Casco has refused to provide us with the contract. He said he would email it to us, after the move, but has never done so even after a recent request.
We are in the process of filing a lawsuit against him personally as well as Blue Mule Movers. We are also reporting him to The Department of Transportation, BBB and other consumer rip-off sites. He has refused to refund us the $2,400+ we paid for his incompetence.
