They're Liars.

I went on the interview process, but stopped short of actually starting with them because something didn't feel right.

I got the weird feeling when I walked in the door and noticed a bunch of young people dressed professionally. Then they spoke. They are very immature and unprofessional. (Example: when you call and ask for a specific person, the secretary says, "She's busy. Can I help you?" when the person being asked for is standing right there, not busy, just talking to an applicant about what movie she watched this past weekend). You can put lipstick on a pig, but at the end of the day, it's still a pig.

They promised everyone will make at least $93k a year doing the bare minimum of going door-to-door and getting people to switch to AT&T. If that's the case, why haven't I heard of more people working for jobs like that??

They also said that if you work there, you'll take trips to other offices, such as Atlanta, to see how they do things. Well, I googled searched their "other offices" and came up with nothing--only the Raleigh office came up, which just opened. Supposedly the company has been around a long time, according to them.

I did another search, but added the word "scam" at the end of their name. This time, I got some results:

These were from the past two months, and evidently the manager tells people that customers called and canceled the service they bought (when they really didn't), and he pockets your commission. The guys there came off as slimeballs and didn't fool me for a second, so that doesn't surprise me.

They tried to act like it's tough to get a job there, and that they really considered you against all the other applicants before selecting you over them. BS. They hire pretty much anyone who walks through the door. It sucks because it's exciting to hear that someone wants to interview you after applying to countless jobs and not hearing back. They get your hopes up for nothing all because they really just want people to do their dirty work.

This place just does not seem legit, and I'm sure it's a matter of time before they're on the news as being busted for embezzling money or something along those lines.

This is one of the Worst job you can find on craiglist. They make it sound so bright and color in their ad, but here's the black and white. The manager lies about the work hours and will force you to work pass from 11am to 11pm with barely a 30 min break. He will send you in a neighborhood that they've already had the cops called on them and say "It's ok for us to be there" but won't go to those neighborhoods himself. He's ran more people away from the uverse campaign then one could count on his/her hands. They talk about how great the income possibilities are, but all you end up seeing is a bunch of cancellations and poor excuses on why your check is only $70.

BEWARE OF THIS JOB SCAM!!!

They will tell you not to pay attention to these reviews and how they are just random people, who "we're leaders and didn't have what it takes" I'll be to first to tell you, if you let them sell you on the lie, you will regret it. They're are other At&t campaigns out there that have a real management training programs, not jus a room full of entry-level and "leaders".

Great Experience!

I feel like everyone was really straight forward when I went in for my interview. I asked them what the job was and what I would have to do to excel there and they told me upfront. That's one of the reason why I took the position. I usually need to know where I'm heading with the company before I start with them and I'm really excited to see where this is headed!

Shady

I recently got a call from this company to come in for an interview. I did a little research on them and found these reviews. I thought I would try to give them the benefit of the doubt, so I called them back to get a little more detail on the job and any potential benefits package. They stated that they couldn't give me any information on the phone that I had to come in for the interview. Keep in mind I'm out of state and they knew that. All they could tell me is that they had three openings and maybe one of the position would offer benefits. That doesn't make any sense. You either offer benefits packages or you don't! I called them back a few days before the interview and left a message since no one answers the phone that I wasn't coming all that way with the lack of information they provided. No call back, nothing. I'm not surprised. They really are a shady company. What a shame.

Silly

Its really silly how someone can judge a company based on whether they offer benifits or not. I worked here for a short period of time and absolutley loved it. Unfortunetly due to family circumstances i had leave and move out of state, but during my time there i learned so much about being an entrapanour. I currently own an operate my own landscaping buisness because i could never be an employee or work for someone else ever again.

I remember starting with this company; excited, ready to learn and grow into a successful manager. I was shocked when I realized how immature and ignorant the manger was. He made distrubing comments to and about his reps. He would always say something and do another; everything he said had fine print. My final straw was when I heard him talking negatively about a former employee, who quit the business. He called them "We as F*ck" and "how we need someone to serve us our food or pick up our garbage" Why would he say that? I asked myself. This is the same person who he had speaking in front of the team; talking about how they were the example of how to reach management. I never felt the same afterward... I did create lasting bonds with my co-workers and stayed in contact with them. After talking with current and former employees, I heard the same complaint, which was major payroll issues. Russell Maryott has been short changing his employees for a while now and people need to know about this. These aren't minor discrepancies either, I'm talking as high as $800 short. I was told that he stated in one of the morning meetings that he put his family on payroll. (paying his family who don't work for the company) Where is this money coming from? He only has one office and doesn't not have the income to put family members on payroll. I've heard on regional managers doing that, but they have atleast 9 offices under them. He has been advancing is caucasian reps 100s of dollars and helping them by setting them up with interview to help build their team. He has done several shady things that are starting to come to light. There are other companies out there that actually appreciates their employees and operates fairly. Why work for a company that pushes you away and slanders your name when you leave?

Russell Marryott is the manager of Blue Devil Marketing located in Raleigh, NC. He will seem to be caring and willing to help build your situation during your interview, but he is just trying to sell you on an idea. The job is a 100% commission door-to-door sales position, which is hard enough, but not impossible. If you can relate with people, you will do just fine in closing the sale. The problem is not the sales, but the manager taking sales away from reps and pocketing bonuses that belongs to the reps. Russell Marryott will manipulate anytime he feels he can and think that people won't notice. He's taking $100-$300 out of reps checks and told them that the customer cancelled their installation as the reason why they didn't get paid. It's sad that as a business owner, he would have that type on mind set... losing peoples trust is the first way to lose your business.
