Hi, I can't stand to see people who can look you in the eyes and lie to your face, stand there and give you their word as if it should mean somethin. I watched an interview on dori monson w/ Mr. Blackwell, and after my resent experience it makes me sick. I purchased a 03' ford ranger back in march 2013. I'm not a lawyer nor do I have an experience selling cars so I had somebody w/ me so I didn't do anything stupid.
The truck had just arrived and hadn't been sent through their shop for any inspection. They insisted I take it for a test drive anyway. Upon doing so I noticed the check engine light was on, and it ran like it was't firing on all cylinders. After I got back to the dealership I informed the salesman of it and was ready to look at something else. Guess he decided that was the one I was gonna buy. Between him and two other salesmen they made me believe this was a good honest business and assured me that after it went through their shop it would run as it should aside from being a used truck.
I was also told if anything happens or if a problem is discovered shortly after I left, they would fix it on good faith.
On the contract was also a 12 mo 12000mi warrenty. Way over priced, but I had 1. They were a day late on having it ready, and when I called the salesman to find out what was going on, it was like he left his backbone at home. He told me it was taking longer because they were replacing fog lights and stuff.
I shoulda known when I pulled out of the parking lot w/ an empty tank of gas. The truck seemed o.k. other then the front brake had a tendency to lock up w very little pressure when on wet pavement or gravel. About 2 weeks later they told me I had to come back in to sign a couple more papers. When I got there they told me my credit wasn't good enough and my loan was denied. "Even though I happened to use them for my last car" they took me down to the money mart at the bottom of the parking lot. I sat in the lobby for about a half hr then some guy comes out w/ parts of a new contract. The only thing he said about it was he was able to save me a few bucks, and proceeded to rush me out the door. Not a word about removing my warranty. Hell I didn't know it was an entirely new contract! I didn't realize til after I started having car problems, that's where my big savings came from.
So I'm comming home from work about 2 weeks ago when my truck overheated, either it happened fast or I was too tired to pay attention but the truck died about 5 miles from my house. So I call and get a ride to my house, I call to get it picked up by ford "no problem". Well it's been a problem since. He tells me about the warrenty, or lack their of, then he has to check w his boss and he would call back. This became a very common theme down there. For the next "week" I never received a single call back. I left a message for Luke Blackwell, though he was the only person to call me back be provided little to no help. My car was on the side of the road for almost 3 days before I had to pay out of my pocket to tow it to my house. I pop the hood, and take the cap off the radiator. I can't believe it, the dam things full of "radiator sealant". Of course they don't know anything about it. But if anybody took the cap off they would know what it was, and if it was inspected then it was seen. They wanted to make that sale. They made several mistakes and instead of being honest, the greedy rats try to mask a serious repair "blown head gasket/ cracked head" then magically make my warrenty disappear via a bushing scam.
I tried to tell him it would best for everybody if we can resolve the situation between us. We agreed to have it towed in to their shop to have it inspected. The following morning I get a quote via text message quoting me 2700 to 7100 bucks for a new motor. I already gave them everything, and now I'm gonna lose the truck, and on top of that a bill from the lean holder probably over 5000. I believe he told Mr. Monson at the end of the day he wants happy customers. I went to him with what I thought was an easy fix. It has turned into a nightmare for me.
I'm out everything, but if I can prevent everybody else from experiencing this for themselves I will. How these rats can exploit the very laws put in place to protect them, and use them to screw good blue collared citizens is beyond me. They call it justice, I call it legalized crime. I've got copies of both contracts. The odometer reads the same miles on both of em even though I drove the truck for 2+ weeks. I have a witness that was w/ me during the initial test drive that took place prior to their safety inspection. "be a pretty cut and dry case if the brakes failed",but who cares as long as they get their cut. Id be greatful for any feedbac good or bad, insight, or help finding resolve in the matter. Thankyou
