I have been using their services for about 2 month now. We have rented more than 20 times from them. Pricing was compatetive on rentals
Part of the rental fees, we paied about 13% for insurnance on the rental equipment. Looked inline with other rental companies insurance fees so I accepted it. On our last rental, someones drove his car in to the lift that we rented. The insurance fee was $300.. Below is the email that I get from them; in short we paid $300 for coverage that tops out at $2000. They are not paying us anything at all since the bill is over $2000. So imagine this, you pay $300 for a coverage that if your bill is more than $2000, the will pay nothing. Really!!! Please be carefull and confirm this before you rent from them.
My name is Mike and I handle all equipment damage claims on behalf of our suppliers. First off, let me thank you for partnering up with BigRentz.com and allowing us to help on your recent project. We realize you have options when it comes to choosing a rental provider and we appreciate the trust you've put in us to handle your recent rental needs. Like all partnerships we also put our trust in you as well, we trust you'll operate the equipment we've rented to you safely and responsibly. However, even the most experienced operators can have a bad day. Accidents and unforeseen mishaps happen to us all. Unfortunately as you are aware BigRentz.com has been notified by our supplier that their equipment was returned damaged after being on rent to you. I further understand that you have been presented with an invoice for $9,959.10 on these repairs. We also trust you'll step up and pay for repairs when responsible for them.
My duties as "Claims Deputy" include making sure that all claims submitted to us are valid and the repair cost is reasonable. I insure that all parties are treated fairly and I work as an unbiased third party to every damage claim received. Let me also add that I've been in the equipment rental industry for over 35 years. I also review all claim to determine if our "Damage Waiver" program applies to this particular type of damage claim. And so we are clear, any and all damages that are under $2000.00 to repair will not be applicable to the program. There are also other exclusions that apply for claims over the $2000.00 threshold that would make the "Damage Waiver" program inapplicable as well. Please see paragraph 3.05 under "Damage Waiver" in our "Terms and Conditions" document I've attached.
I've gone over all the information submitted on this claim and it has been determined that you are responsible for the costs to repair this unit. Please feel free to contact me If you have any questions regarding this damage claim levied against you by our supplier. I've attached the invoice again for these repairs and want to remind you that the payment on this invoice is due upon receipt. Please remit payment immediately so we can close this claim out.
Thank you very much for cooperation and patience on this matter.
