Bh Cosmetics was a favorite of mine. They had a lot of great eyeshadow palettes for as little as 6-20$. I got my first about 2 years ago and I still have it today. It was 18$ with 120 colors... great deal right?
My first order I had NO problems! So I subscribed to their emailing list and had received their deals. I just got a really good job and decided to splurge on myself for once (Because I hadnt had the extra cash to spare before.)
So on the 12th of September (2014) I received an email;
Any 20$ you spend you get a free gift with your purchase: Either a free little palette or a set of 7 brushes. I figured that was a great deal because I had been meaning to purchase a new set of eyeshadows and I really needed new brushes. 20$ was fine for my to spend and I didn't even care about the shipping.
So I place my order and it asks to review it. I put in the coupon code for the brushes and they're there; and I'm thinking everything is fine.
So I click OK and it makes me view my order one last time. The brushes had disapeared. I realized I had accidentally put in another code and it voided the other. I immediately call their customer service to fix it before it's sent out. And theyre closed. I send them a message on facebook and post to their wall...
4 days go by... NOTHING. I call their customer service line* I get
"We're sorry we're currently closed please call back during our business hours of Monday - Fridat 9am to 5pm."
And I'm thinking "Ummm today is friday... and it's only 3pm... they should be open." Whatever. So I leave a message. 2 more days go by. I get NOTHING. It's monday and I call again. STILL NO ONE ANSWERS. I leave ANOTHER message! NOTHING. I even email them and it says they'll get back to me in 1-2 business days. I STILL GET NOTHING! I message them again 3-6 more times on facebook NOTHING. I FINALLY get a small reply where they spell my name wrong and ask me to message them my order ID. BUT I can't they never sent me a receipt! So I don't have one! I try to explain and no one answers me again for another day. This fiasco goes on for 7 whole days. I recieve my order and it's wrong. I call their customer service line and they FINALLY answer saying they were fixing their lines. Whatever. I explain I have tried to contact them in more than multiple means and never got ANYTHING no receipt nothing just the money drained from my account and pure frustration from no one giving a crap about my business! And they never even changed their answering machines to say they were experiencing problems!
She apologizes and is sincere enough. I act profressional and say I don't blame her for her company's mistakes. I explain how I have been trying to contact someone about my order and told her I never receieved a receipt or reply in 7 days. She even thinks that is ridiculous and says she'll talk to her superviser to see if they'll let me just get what I wanted in the first place. Because the ONLY reason I ordered 20$ worth of products was because that was the amount I had to spend to get the brushes I wanted. If I just wanted a palette like I initially thought of I wouldn't have added on items I really didn't "need" but did for the sake of the amount. She says her manager won't let me change my order. Even if it was their fault. I tell her that's fine even though I deserve to be treated better than this and I used to love their company and now I refuse to go there ever again. Even she agrees and we end on a nice note.
I advise NO ONE to shop there. The products are good quality so if you must go Bh cosmetics get them from (((competitor's name redacted))). At least they will TRY to have your order fixed. BH Cosmetics does not care about their customers. And I refuse to shop there again. If a company cannot get back to you at all in 7 days... or accomodate you when its THEIR fault; it's not worth the frustration and agony they caused me from having to leave angry messages for 7 days straight.
