I owned my Nissian Pathfinder since it was brand new. I did every service interval faithfully around 40,000 miles I did a BG engine flush and MOA additive with semi synthetic oil at every oil change. At 60,000 I did BG differential fluid exchange as required by Nissian service interval.
Now my Pathfinder has 90,000 and the valve cover gasket is leaking, the oil filter housing is leaking, the gasket in the front differental is leaking.
I called BG and of course there product didnt have anything to do with the gaskets all leaking and there wonderful warrenty doesnt cover it.
Dont waste your money on this product just do your service intervals as required.
I run a small shop and sold BG products. If you read their literature they claim to warranty your engine, transmission and everything but the kitchen sink. I was going to use their diesel additive in my diesel truck. My rep advised me to run some system cleaner first. I bought it and put it in the truck as directed. Before the tank had used half, the truck developed running problems. I had to take the injection pump off and have it repaired. My truck had 95ooo miles. The pump shop advised me that the cleaner was too dry and caused the plungers in the pump were sticking.
They also told me that pump should have lasted 5000000 miles. I contacted the BG rep.Of course his product had never caused any problems and it had never done anything like that but he would check into it. Never heard from him until I tracked him down. Then he told me my area had been sold to another rep and it was the new reps problem. The new rep cried and whined because he didn't sell me the product. Eventually he paid about one third of the 2400.00 bill. I only asked him to cover the parts bill and I would cover the rest. He wouldnt even do that!
I stopped selling their products and would warn you against it. They talk big until it is time for them to stand behind it.
