I received a phone call from someone who informed me that my physician asked them to contact me to provide pain relief supplies. I asked what kind of medication is supplied over the phone? They responded by saying it was a topical cream and asked for my insurance information. I said if my doctor contacted you, he would have provided that. Then they asked for the insurance company and policy number. Again I said my doctor has that on file abnd he would have supplied that. Finally after asking for my insurance information 6 times, he said he was waistig his time. I said, you are waisting my time and hung up. It was clear that my doctor did not contact them, and they just wanted to scam my insurance company to get money. I can't imagine how many companies they are billing for something that can probably be picked up at Walmart for $3.99. Be careful!!!!
