BDM Flooring/Construcion was hired after I was solicited by them at Lumber Liquidators, Kennesaw, GA. claiming they did many floooring jobs for LL customers. They finished installation of most of the flooring, however were short of flooring to finish the living room. There was no reason for a shortage, as more than enough was ordered, with overage to boot, so I now have to question if that was part of their scam and the missing flooring was due to them.
The primary contact, Victor Vizcarra aka Victor Ruiz, begged for payment in full to pay his workers, as most of the work was done and he claimed he would be back the next working day to complete the flooring, stain of treads, transitions and remove all of the carpet/padding/etc. and put the rooms and doors back in order. It has been a month sicnce I last saw them and now that he has taken my money, he has not returned to finish the job and left me with a mess that I had to pay others to get taken care of.
He also will no longer return phone calls as he obviously has no intentions of finishing the work he was paid for.
The installation of the iiving room flooring was terrible in quality, he elected to add additional inlay vertically across the living room, without authorization, blaming lumber liquidators for shorting me flooring. The flooring ordered was a close out and due to BDM Flooring wasting so much wood, there is no flooring to be found to finish the job and match it up. They were also contracted through their other company, BDM Connstrucion, aka Cesar Vizcarra (likely Ruiz also, as Victor claimed that Cesar was his brother) to paint two rooms and tile a garden tub. Thank goodness they never showed up , as I can only imagine how awful that would have turned out. They also cracked the tile in the master bath, installing the transition and never put the closet doors back on in one of the bedrooms. Pictures are attached to show the caliber of people I was dealing with. They basically ripped me off and it appears that they are well versed in doing so.
Being a senior and on disability, it will be awhile before I can finish the flooring, if it can be finished without having to tear it all back up and start over. I believe their are laws about ripping off seniors and the disabled and will be filing a police report, although it is likely that I will never recover the money they stold or the costs paid out so far and to finish the work not completed.
They claimed that they purchase from Lumber Liquidators and Floor and Decor in Marietta on a regular basis for Cobb County customers. I think these companies need to be aware of who they are dealing with. Run, if one of these two brothers solicits you and do not believe a word they say. I made the mistake of believing Victor Ruiz aka Victor Vizcarra and paying him before the job was 100% completed. I also believed that they would complete the other jobs and make the mistake of letting other contractors go, thinking it was easier to deal with one company. Big mistake.
