I ordered the sample of Ayur Skin Products and since I am aware of the cost of "free" samples I called the day after I received the creams to cancel any automatic shipping or billing.
I read the conditions and was well within the 30 days to cancel. When I informed the rep I was calling to cancel she put on her sales pitch and offered me a 25% discount to continue. I declined and asked again to cancel the "membership" i was automatically signed up for when I accepted the "shipping cost" only sample.
(Please note that this "automatic membership" info is only available if you search the small print paper that arrives in the package. Which I did.)
I told her that I had just received the order and hadn't had time to really use it yet but I still wanted to cancel because I didn't want any charges. She said that she would put my order status on hold which would extend my 30 day period and if I did not call back to cancel by March 10th then the account would become active and I would begin to get auto shipments in March at a 25% discount. i asked her again about charges and she assured me that would not be any.
I called back on March 1st and was informed that my account had not been cancelled and that I had been charged a total of $239.50 for the "free samples"
The rep, Julio. refused to let me speak to a supervisor stating that there was no discrepancy on my account and so I was not allowed to speak to anyone else and he was now going to end the call.
The charges were placed on my account before I even called to cancel - well with in the 30 days of their terms and conditions.
There is no recourse with this company - clearly, the only way they make money is by charging anyone who is foolish enough to give them a credit card number to pay shipping costs. ( like me, I guess) because there is no cream in the world worth this amout of money and the Ayur Skin products are the same quaiity you can get at Walmart in the bargin aisle.
There are certainly companies who use this method to intruduce us to great products but this is not one of them. This company will charge you before the time is up to cancel and refuse any refund.
