After showing up to pick up the car, I noticed it was already sitting in place idling. I should have taken this more seriously, the engine had looked like it had been clean, however no smoke no rattles just a point a to point b car.
My second warning I should not have bougfht the car was, all the beer Ken Furlong and his "friend" were dreinking.
As I gave payment, Mr. Ken Furlong had left by this time but his friend I had given the money to quickly, beer in hand sped off leaving me with a petty bill of sale, with a fake signature on it, the car was only $700.00 USD, but as I wazs looking things over he was gone.
Ok so I pull around the corner, and billows of white smoke smothered the street blinding all who were behind me. Blown Head Gasket, I will be posting this everywhere as I do not want this sort of person stealing any one elses money.
Ken Furlong, you sir are a thoroughly unscruplous coniving thief. THANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET, You WILL see yourself on sites everywhere quite soon.
David Mills installed a brand new transmission in our Ford Expedition just weeks in November 2013 before we purchased it from our good friends and neighbors. Less than a thousand miles and ten outings later in May 2014, the vehicle started spurting out transmission fluid everywhere. We managed to get home safely from where we were when it happened. Our friend and neighbor contacted David to see if he could come get it repaired at the end of May. He was out of town and said he would be there the following week to look at it and mentioned the warranty was not valid on the transmission itself but would honor his work on the vehicle. He never showed up and this occured on 3 occasions. To this day, over 5 weeks later, we aren't even sure he showed up to look at it. On top of it all, he responded to a request for info saying that he will now not be fixing it at all and even after supposedly agreeing to come out and honor his work decided that his work is only valid for 60 days.
Lesson learned, don't buy a car from your neighbor and unless you want a half-assed job done, do not hire this mechanic. He will lead you on for weeks before bailing on you and if he does show up he will do a crappy job. It's sad when mechanical work of that nature is only gaurenteed to work for 60 days...
