I was guaranteed a car with no down-payment and low installment payments. On 7/11/2015 I was picked up at my home by Luis Flores who told me that Michael Sosa was waiting for me to pick a car and to help me get financing. We get to the dealership, I speak to Jennifer, a salesperson who helps me pick a car and I later start filling out paperwork with Michael Sosa who tells me that they are no longer doing a no down-payment promotion because people were getting the cars and later returning the car.
As I am working with Michael Sosa on filling out the paperwork, Luis Flores comes ask me for my down-payment and I hand him $800. As I am finishing the paperwork with Michael Sosa, I was told that I was approved by a bank and he tells me that he will put on the paperwork that I have $1000 down and that I have until the end of the month to come down with an additional $500. I was asked for my down payment from Michael Sosa when I mention that I had already been requested to give the down payment to Luis Flores their sales person; all of a sudden, everyone starts looking for Luis Flores and no one could find him therefore I was told that he might have stolen my money and I was told to call the police. I called the police and while waiting for them to arrive, Luis Flores returns and tells me that he was trying to buy a debit card to put $300 for the insurance because I cannot pay for the insurance in cash. I advised him that I was asked to call the cops by Michael Sosa because they believed that he stole my money and this lead to him harassing me and wanting to fight with me.
Due to all the drama with my down payment, it was already past 9pm at night therefore Michael Sosa asked me to come back in the morning to get the car.I arrived in the morning with my money and they took $500 down, then proceeded to ask me for $100 to transfer my tags and we called via phone to arrange for insurance. I was handed my keys and I left not noticing that I had no paperwork... I was not given any paperwork to show what I paid for the car, nothing stating what my payments would be etc. With all the commotion I didn't even notice any of the details of my contract and when I was later asked by my parents about the paperwork and how much I paid etc... I realized that I was given nothing to show for the car I just purchased. I called Monday to request my paperwork and never received a call back... I receive a call back Tuesday 7/14/2015 stating that the bank wanted to talk to me to see how I felt about the whole car buying process and I was asked to come at the end of the week to make a $250 payment and I was given a 800 number to call.
I get a call from Michael Sosa later on in the afternoon of 7/14/2015 stating that the bank wants to pull out of the loan but he tells me that he can handle it to give him a little more time. I offered to take the car back the following morning and he told me not to because he would work it out because he was aware that I needed a car for work. I get a call from Michael Sosa 7/15/2015 stating that he had found another bank that would finance me and he tells me again to hang tight...in all this time, I had offered to bring this car back and he never once mentions that he is going to charge for rental fees. I get a call Thursday morning asking if I could get a co-signer for the loan and I tell him no... Thursday evening I am contacted and still told to hang tight. Friday I am working and told to bring in the car and I bring it in Friday afternoon after work, I arrive at 5:30pm and still at 8:00pm I'm being told to hang tight that he's trying to get my full refund; at this point I am confused because days prior he told me I could get my entire refund if things don't work out, as I am working on the paperwork to get my refund with Michael Sosa, a manager walks in and tells him that I was not to get my money back that he has to charge me $35 a day for rental and $.35 per mile driven because I continue to use the car and didn't return it.
After waiting hours to see what was going to happen with my refund, Michael Sosa tells me that he worked out a deal with the dealer across the street from them and that they will put me in a car for $200 with no problems...yet there is still no mention of my refund and now they are trying to get me to give another dealership $200 to get me in another car.
This dealership is a fraud! I believe that they stage this entire ordeal to get people's money and make sure that the customer is not aware of what's being signed when buying the car. They handed me the car and the keys...no paperwork and later ask for more money down because they lied to the bank and told them I put a bigger down. They took advantage of me because they knew I needed a car and that I was new to the car buying process. I now am short $800, no car and no way to get to work.
