Looks like the Australian Shareholder Centre have re-emerged (again) as Australian Investor Services. Same MO, same scam. I feel for anybody who gets sucked into giving these guys $5000.
After agreeing (yes agreeing) to pay the $4990 establishment fee, I had a terrible family event which required me to outlay a considerable amount of money.
This happened just a couple days after I had paid the fee, and, after calling them to ask kindly if I could have a refund I was flatly refused. I hadn't sent them any money other than the registration fee.
Thanks, not only am I out of money to the tune of $4990 (which would have served to help my family, I am also out of money to the tune of $xxxx MORE.
Since becoming a private client of the Australian Shere Holder Centre in Febuary 2014 which cost me an estabisment fee of $4990. The automatic group B trading positions have resulted in a loss of $5054 being a total loss of $9544 to date July 2014.
This result is not what I expected which was an advertised proffit of $9062 per year.
Feeling RIPPED OFF and let down by the regulators who allow this to happen under their licencing ?
It looks as though the Australian Shareholder Centre website is gone but strangely enough both their ABN and AFSL Rep numbers are exactly the same as Australian Investor Services' (as pointed out on another post). And "apparently" they are "one of Australia’s leading retail client advisory services". What a laugh. . . They should just change their name to "Can we have $5000 please?"
The app fee is ridiculous all info they give is readily available online. Paying these guys $5000 is almost like paying your accountant 5000 when many will do the same job for 1500, if you pay these guys you are an idiot. I use Fnarena.com.au and its a ;lot cheaper with a free trial ( no Im not part of there group) No you will not make more money paying these guys more
ASIClub, ASIGroup and now the Australian Shareholder Centre. . . Same purporters, same scam, very likely the same person behind it all (again). It doesn't take much digging to see that this mob will likely change their name and get a new AFSL rep number soon enough and start scamming all over again. To those who have lost money or feel cheated, go to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), they are more than happy to help when it comes to this sort of thing. And be sure to mention Conquest Markets, it's their license these cheaters are backing off.
Actve Traders or is it Australian Shareholder Centre or who?
Thank you Scamorg, I have just discovered this medium (silly me)
My comments with many others via Product Review have also been well documented
It appears that Active Traders are out of the same company of Australian Shareholder Centre Pty Limited?
If this is so, it appears that they just keep changing their name and finding another set of suckers and you can see the effects.
As you can see there are some 33 "Product Reviews" under Australian Shareholders Centre all derogatory.
Australian Shareholders Centre are situated at 155 Varsity Parade Varsity Lakes Qld. to make the easy identification.
Just how can a company (in conjunction with Hallifax Stochbrokers) like this continue to rip of investors of their "hard earned".
It appears that many Aussie investors from Queensland, NSW, Victoria, S.A. and W.A. have all written in reports.
Where are the authorities that are supposed to look into these scams or are they just incompetent scoundrels who are looking for "an easy buck"
Sure, I am not happy as it has also cost me $4990 plus $7000 persuaded by their smooth-talking and plausible representative.
I implore every one out there in Australia that have been ripped off by these scoundrels to also write a "Product Review' or scamorg to indicate how wide spread this rip-off is. This scam (with all the name changes as stated in these reviews) has been going on for many years, where are ACCC and ASIC, I would like someone smarter than me to instigate a "Class Action".
Having willingly becoming involved with this group some 18 months ago it has cost me $4990 establishment fee and $7000 of my $25,000 investment, why would anyone want to follow my path?
They won't answer phone calls, won't answer emails and treat you like a leper once they have your money.
Reading reviews from many other people that have been "Ripped-Off" by this company for tens of thousands of dollars we should "Rally the Troops" to (1) Try to retrieve at least our establishment fee. (2) Prevent them from continuing to take the "hard earned" from others? Any takers????
Take care as they keep changing their name from "Active Traders" to "Share Centre" to "Australian Stock Investment Group" etc
I am one of the idiots (referred to above) who believed that the Australian Shareholder Centre could earn some return by trading for me. I lost money in trading, and of course the $5000. So I complained bitterly. They agreed to refund $2,000, and wrote an agreement to pay this money to me within 14 days. They did not, and now they no longer answer my calls. I was not to talk about the refund, but seeing I was not paid that agreement is void. So a bit of advice.... They lie, and sign agreements that they have no intention to keep. Keep away from these guys. Its off to the Ombudsman now.

Why no Negative Stars??????
This company only rates negative Stars. Giving them a rating of BAD would "talk them up"!
