AUL recently denied a claim on work that was done in good faith and was fully covered by their waranty.
The vehicle was brought to a certified shop that handled a previous warranty issue and the shop contacted AUL. AUL said they were going to send out an inspector to review the issue prior to work.
The inspector never showed and the shop did teh work in good faith in order to get the car back to me recognizing that I was expecting the car back given the short time line in which a fix could be done..
The shop informed the inspector that the work was done and they were holding the repaired parts to ensure the inspector could independently verify they were not functioning-given that he did not show up as expected.
The inspector did not show up to inspect the vehicle as he was meant to, did not go post work to review the work and the company is now using that as a pretext as to why they are denying the claim.
The shop was also told by AUL in the process that the defect was covered under the warranty prior to the work beginnng so they felt comfortable moving ahewad.
