First, Todd Jarrett ("TJ") claims the attorney he works with will not even consider you unless you pass a CLAW report that costs $1000. Second, TJ claims that the lender will accept their CLAW report and wont run their own. Not true and you get charged again. He also maintains through the whole process with him that they do not get paid until the final paperwork is signed.
I questioned the contract after I read it [TJ said it must be done online by electronic signature (unread) and that I could read it later] as I was concerned about some aspects... (1) it indicates in the contract that the fee was "negotiated". It was NOT negotiated. I was told what I had to pay, and that it was not negotiable. (2) TJ told me they do not get paid until the final paperwork is signed. NOT so. If you are given a rate reduction but put on probation for a few months which can be extended they get paid once you are approved for the rate reduction, not when the final paperwork was done. I questioned this. TJ assured me that even if I was put on probation, I would not have to pay until the final paperwork was executed which does not happen until after the probation period.
I told him my reason for calling him/his company was because they advertised that they got principal reductions. I was adamant that I did not want to pay them $6500 (includes CLAW report) if they could not at least negotiate for a principal reduction (which no one can guaranty but they can at least try). I could have paid only $1500 for a rate reduction only. He said he had dealt with my lender before and principal reductions are always part of the negotiations but are no guaranty and are on a loan by loan basis.
The problem is that since TJ had dealt with this lender before he absolutely knew that they did NOT do principal reductions but wanted my money so he lied to me about that. I know they don't because after I got the rate reduction I was to call the case manager at the lender handling my loan about starting payments and was told not only by her but another person at the lender's that they absolutely do not do principal reductions under any circumstances. They only do rate reductions. And when I tried to withold the last payment because I wanted to speak with the attorney and TJ's website had closed down, he flooded and harrassed me with multiple phone calls every day for weeks from different numbers including some that said anonymous or restricted until I finally paid it.
TJ is a very good salesman and a liar and a scammer. He may be able to get the rate reduction but he lied about the principal reduction and when they get paid. Don't use him. There are many paralegals and others who will get you a rate reduction for a lot less. Don't get scammed by this man. The attorney says he up and left and closed shop on her. And he says he is up and running but the website for attorneysupportnetowrk (ASN) says they are not taking new clients and ther eit no longer any access to the webtis that shows all the favorable fake referrals. Obviously, something is going on. He is no longer with ASN and now works with Spencer Seyb, Attorney. My next step will be against the attorney if only to file a complaint with the State Bar.
