I have travelled about 10 times on Asiana within the past years and was always happy with their service.
On my last flight from Seoul to Los Angeles I ordered a special menu. There were 2 meals served on the 11 hour flight, the last one about 2 hours before landing in Los Angeles. Within an hour of eating the last meal (some kind of a weird curry dish) I started to get a stomach ache and diarrhea. I also had to throw up. The diarrhea lasted for about 24 hours after arriving in Los Angeles. I reported this to Asiana and received a very evasive answer which did not even address the question if other passengers had eaten the same dish.
I know that this last dish made me sick, I guess it was kept too long (at least 12 hours) and some kind of bacteria like salmonella had too much time to spread.
After this experience, especially after receiving Asiana's answer, I decided to avoid this airline under any circumstances - I don't trust their food anymore and i have also seen that they simply don't care after reading their response. My advice (if you have to use them): take a sample of each dish that's served so that you have something to send to a laboratory in case you get sick.
