I had a interlock device installed in my vehicle on October 4, 2014. After the installation my electrical stopped working within 8 miles of the installation location. This system was working great prior to the installation.
I missed a calibration date and was told I must have my vehicle towed at my expense to their offic for calibration. I was verbally told this is REQUIRED by MVD and it is written in the contract. After numrouse contacts with different agents from MVD & ADOT I was told there is no policy, requirement, or law to that affect. The manager (K) refused to service my unit until I either tow the vehicle or produce a letter from MVD & ADOT.
I contacted several othe interlock companies and inquired about this situation. Each company stated there was no policy in place requiring a tow because of a lock out.
When the vehicle is driven to the office I remove the device and carry it into the office. Manager(K) told me if I remove the device at home and a friend drove me to the office it is considered TAMPERING. I asked for an explaination so I could understand the difference and all I got was an obtuse and BS answer.
The ONLY person that has seen my vehicle is the installer on October 4, 2014. No employee has ever inspected my vehicle or have knowledge that it was actually in theit parking lot.
The only reason I see for this is to inconvenience me and force a mobil calibration for a fee.
I am perplexed how they openly state on the contract that this is REQUIRED by MVD!!!!
