Arizona Attorney General Reviews

  • Jul 2, 2014

I simply called the Arizona Attorney General's office to obtain an email address and to obtain a copy of the "indictment", settlement announcement, or whatever document you may call it, wherein the $30 million settlement for the consumer was completed on October 10, 2013 by the Arizona Atty General's office, and I might add all over the internet, when you google it Regarding: Doug Smith a/k/a Douglas Edward Smith of Tennesee, Affinion Group of Nashville, TN (ENCORE - Knosville, TN); Webloyalty.com (an oxymoron) and his ownership of Priceline.com and the woman, who answered the telephone in investigations, at the AZ AG's office refused to give me an email or name of the investigator. As an injured consumer, and an Elderly and DISABLED consumer, I find it very offensive "M'am" that you refused to simply give me the email of the investigator. Perhaps I have evidence that you need. And now you have squashed that possibility. FYI, I then called the federal investigator and let him know that you refused to give this information to me. Left him a message.

For the record, especially as a Disabled Adult, I do not appreciate being treated like chattel. What goes around, comes around, you might be there yourself someday. Then and only then will you really understand the impression you have indelibly left in my mind about the AG's office and you personally. I have every 1st amendment right to feel and say these things, as my rights have been violated by someone who was sworn to uphold the law. Instead I was hung up on and treated rudely.

You, afterall, are a public servant. That means - you serve me, a member of the public that pays your salary. As your boss, I expect you to be nice, cordial, cooperative - none of which you were.

I do appreciate the fact that somebody there did their job, but I doubt it was because you were helpful. As a consumer, transparency is #1 in government. You were worse than evasive and hung up on me. I informed you I needed this information for another government agency and for that agency to correspond with yet another one and yet you hung up on me. I hope you are put on reprimand and I hope you are fired. In my opinion, I have learned over the years, that this kind of an attitude means that you think you are above the law. You give the impression that you are big kahuna. When I call into other govt agencies they answer a simple question of "Who". Instead - you hung up on me. FYI, as a disabled adult, you have now denied me the essential services. In my state, that is a felony and a violation of my civil rights. Yet you work for the Atty General who is supposed to uphold those very things. No wonder so many American's are choosing to ex-pat. They are tired of being hung up on and mouthed off at. You are a disgrace to Tom Horne'f office. I can tell from his website that he is taking down a lot of white collar crime, but he will win the battle and lose the war if he keeps you on staff. Nobody with anxiety issues will want to call - you are just plain mean. Go home and search your soul - please. My requests were NOT unreasonable. Only a name and an email address, nothing more, nothing less.
