I bought a unit from them! it did not work and was going on vacation so they sent a new one to my daughter. In the mean time I had motor trouble and did not get there, they had it sent back to them. When I called they were to send it to me, they later said it had a spot on the box (leak) another bad unit! All I got from them was promises from then on total approx. two months worth and now I have to pay the shipping back to get my money back!! All I got was promise after promise. No life time warranty no nothing!!!
Reply to Bob from Arizona,
Over the summer we shipped thousands of units all over America, but we won't forget Bob from Arizona.
Mr. B ordered a cooling system, which was unfortunately damaged in shipping, (less than 1% of our products are damaged in shipping, so this was a rare occurrence). We immediately shipped another unit to replace it, however as Mr. B was travelling in his RV, we needed to redirect the shipping twice while he was on the road. Then to complicate things, his RV broke down during his trip. Then, after shipping his replacement unit from one end of the country to another and then back again, it also was damaged in shipping.
We feel badly about this situation, and will definitely refund or replace this cooling unit, however Mr. B has not returned the first unit to us yet. We have just now send Mr. B the return shipping label again via email, so his shipping costs are covered by us, per our warranty agreement.
We are more than willing to take care of this customer, and also feel badly about his RV breakdown troubles this summer, however Mr. B needs to work with us, to resolve this matter.
Call us Mr. B, and let us help you to arrange the pick-up of the unit, and we will send you a replacement unit, or refund you in full.
Thanks,
Robert Jeffery

I did get a return shipper that is paid for so I do not have to pay for the return.
I ordered a cooling unit in December of 2016. After several months of constant delays and misinformation about my unit, I finally received the unit. After it was installed, it could not cool lower than 55 degrees. When I informed the company of the problem, I was given the run around about who was the person to handle this problem. I spoke to Steve, Matt, and Robert Jeffery, but no one was able to handle the problem. Finally, in June I ordered a part from a different company because I had postponed my last trip for two months. It is now October, I have the unit packed for return, but no one takes my calls. I have a number of e-mails that support the problems I have had with the company. Warranty? They don't even stand behind their product! Mr. Jeffery sent me a personal e-mail about how the situation would be resolved. I replied my agreement and now he does not answer my phone calls nor my e-mails. Apparently there is no such thing as a life-time warranty or even a short-term warranty with ArctiCold Refrigeration.
I am a customer of Arcticold, and just purchased , or thought I purchased a cooling unit. Steve was supposed to E-mail me back to check at the warehouse 2 going on three days now. Also 2 unanswered calls. Eric in AL.
Arcticold's limited lifetime warranty sounds like a great idea, but after two years you have to pay shipping both ways, and you don't get to ship your cooling unit back to one of their dropship point here in the United States you have to ship it back to their factory in Canada
The factory Address is 563 Renaud Road, Saint Antoine, New Brunswick E4V2X3 CANADA,
I personally think their sales idea of a brand new cooling unit with a lifetime warranty at the price they are sell is pretty good, but in reality when I check the shipping rate with Fed Ex one way on a Dometic Rm2852 from Mesa Arizona it was $426.00 USD. That is one way. on what they sell today delivered to your door for $580.00 USD. It basically boils down to a two year warranty. And I tried different Freight Classifications to try to get a better rate. Now remember that is today's shipping rate not two years from now.
If you really are trying to give you customers a Lifetime warranty then atleast make it so they can ship it to a location for a resonable rate. What your doing now makes it look like you are selling as many units as you can and when the two years are up you will have made a ton of money and left your customers with a cooling unit that may not be warrantied at all do to the cost of shipping is most than buying another unit off of you.
I may seem like I am attacking you but am I the only one that sees the problem with you business plan? It really looks like you are hust out there to take peoples money and as someone else said your warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.
The first of three incorrect statements made by the writer above, pertains to the customers' shipping responsibilities after the first 2 years have passed of the Arcticold lifetime warranty. The $580 cooling system part is covered fully for lifetime of our customer, however only one-way shipping is required to be covered by the customer after the 2nd year following original
purchase date.
Our writer's second false statement, relates to the cost of the shipping. In 2014, the average shipping cost for an Arcticold cooling system was $60 throughout the contiguous United States and Canada. Arcticold will take care of arranging the shipping and bill the customer our excellent courier rates, for the product's one-way shipping cost. We will cover the shipping of our original unit back to our shop, so we can examine the unit, test it to determine whether the problem is related to the unit or customer error, then take corrective action within our shop fabrication process, if necessary.
I'm not sure where the writer is getting gets his courier rates, ($426?! Yikes!!!!!), but our rates are among the best in the nation because of the fact that we ship thousands of units annually. As I said earlier, about $60 anywhere throughout the US/Canada is the actual cost to ship Arcticold's cooling systems. "Volume" translates into considerably better prices, within the commercial courier/carrier industry. That's a very simple business principle, that somehow has eluded this young writer.
The third false statement by this young writer, pertains to his misleading comment about basic economics. His comment about "shipping rates changing from year to year" is correct, but so does the overall cost of living, and many paycheques of Americans from year to year, and furthermore the value of the cooling system itself, currently valued at $580 in today's market, will be higher in 2 years. In 10 years, maybe double ... and will remain to be a fully covered part by our warranty. Maybe a course in introduction to economics would be in order? Not sure if this will help this writer...
Arcticold's prices on all of our cooling systems, include shipping to all of the 48 contiguous US states. We charge a little more to customers in Alaska and Newfoundland, but just a nominal additional fee.
For those who read this write-up, it was written up by a competitor of ours. I won't bother to blow his cover, but we know exactly who this individual is. This was not written up by a customer.
Our customers love the Arcticold lifetime warranty, because our customers know that Arcticold has been around for years and years, and that our products are so obviously manufactured with the highest quality materials possible, thereby the warranty protects them from having to deal with a costly RV fridge cooling system failure in the future, either from the purchase of another OEM fridge, or from one of the sub-par cooling systems produced by a great many amateur rebuilders. There are a precious few quality rebuilders in the market, but the writer of this story is unfortunately not one of them.
For example, our aftermarket Norcold 1200 cooling system, built for Norcold 12 cubic foot side-by-side fridge, weighs about 54 lbs more than the OEM unit. Why? Because our steel tubing is almost double the thickness. We have 4 condensers, not just one as in the case with the OEM. Our absorber coil has 40% more pipe. These features together enable the Arcticold Cooling system to "labor a lot less" than the OEM cooling system product. When the customers takes our cooling system out of the box, they comment about how much more rugged our unit feels and ask why it is so much heavier. We are proud to answer these questions for our customers.

I ordered a unit August 6 for $580 plus $50 shipping, it is now middle of September. They said they would send an e-mail to me twice now and still nothing. They no longer answear their phones. I was told 5 weeks ago they were 250 units behind and we're making 100 a day and still no refrigeration unit. I want my money refunded now.
Ordered a replacement on August 5, 2016. It's September 1st and haven't heard a word?
