These people are BRUTAL! I ahve been receiving daily calls on a CC account that was not even mine....i have NEVER opened a chase credit card account. They threatend to contact my employer , haul me into court...blah ,blah , blah....HOWEVER...the account they referenced was from 1990 era...SERIOUSLY???? I asked them nicely to stop calling, i mentioned the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act....even if it was mine....no co-operation, so i filed with the attorny general, called them back, told them they were in violation, and gave them the report number....i was told by a supervisor ( Kyle Clark ) i was being removed from their system....we will see....i would love for them to call one more time....i will sue the daylights out of them! For all of you being hasseled about this stuff, the statue of limitations is online and could be a usefull tool against jerks like these
I recieved a letter yesterday claiming that I owe $41,583.26 to credit acceptance corporation for the purchase of a vehicle.
I am disabled from having a stroke in 2010 and will be turning 60 years of age on my next birthday and have never purchased a a car or truck in my life. I don't know where my info was obtained but the letter i recieved was from Mark Farmer at ext. 3402 call and will answer all questions you may have M-F from 8:00-5:00 CST. Needless to say i never got an answer.
I just recently filed for bankruptcy last year and lost my house in the process and don't need the aggrevation of dealing with stupid people who thinks they can get money out of people who don't owe any. That is why i decided to report this Rip-Off so that all can be aware of whats going on.
