It is Beth Hoss and all of her aliases. the 2 reviews on here are from her family or a boyfriend. look up her name and you will see many ripoffs and posts about her. every excuse she uses is the same. I have been scammed by the woman, Beth Ann Hoss aka Beth A Hoss, Beth Begley . She asked for $6,643 as a deposit on countertops and tumblestone. Much like another case on justice.dentoncounty.com, click on denton county records, then civil records, then put last name as hoss and first name as beth. Beth Hoss has several ads on craigslist for barter of vehicles for work, payment for work and requesting investments. She then trys to turn the scamming guilt onto the consumer or other person. Someone needs to stop this person.
She begain communicating with me on about May 12, 2014, giving me a proposal agreement on the work and payment.
We did discuss other remoldeling ideas but I did not want to spend the cash for that. The agreement never changed and the money she received that is not hers was for countertops and tumblestone tile. She talks a good talk, which I did mention I like this kind of work and would invest with her once she completed my work and had other clients. But when I would not give her anymore money (ie,another $8k) she became angry and start calling me a scammer.
I have pictures of what she did, eyewitnesses, text messages of her stating she had the receipt for the countertop but never provided it to me so I could pick up the slabs of countertop. I also have camera footage as well as testimony from a countertop person she sent to my home to measure but then fired him.
I, Marco Mendez, acknowledges that on May 18, 2014, Beth from Anne Haven Studios visited my showroom requesting for me to go to a customer's home and measure for 3cm Bamboo Quartz Silestone to be installed.
On May 19, 2014, I contacted the customer to make appointment for the measurements. I visited the customer's home and measured kitchen, suggesting two slabs were needed and would have a piece(s) left over for the bathroom.
Shortly after my visit within the hour, Beth from Anne Haven Studio called saying she is firing me from the job and not to visit the customer or any other customer again. I removed myself from the job and that was the only time I had contact with Beth (Anne Haven Studio).
I was unaware of the payment made from the customer to Anne Haven Studio until the customer showed me the agreement and check number receipt signed by Beth when I was at the home. I received no money from Beth (Anne Haven Studio).
The customer contacted me on June 1, 2014 after she received a text message from (Beth) Anne Haven Studio stating she had a receipt, order number and contact for the countertop that can be picked up in Dallas. Beth never provided the information, so the customer wanted to know if I had any information on the measurements and countertop.
I acknowledge and testify that there was no work done at the customer's home. Some painting of a couple cabinet doors and cabinet frame. Most of the cabinet doors were missing from the kitchen and all bathrooms. The countertop and walls were the same as they were when I visited back on May 19, 2014.
Beth from Anne Haven Studios claimed to be a designer but showed no experience and did not want to use me as her contractor. I, Marco Mendez, provided the customer for a price on June 1, 2014 that is not related to the Anne Haven Studio request. I never heard from anyone from Anne Haven Studio after May 19, 2014.
Please provide any information you may have or if scammed in order to try and stop this woman. She is scamming people out of their money and most likely never filing taxes on it. People like her need to be stopped.
