Received call this a.m.from Kimberly Brown.Did not note origin (Fla or wherever) of call. She asked if i had received a letter about my $950,000 prize winnings.I said i had tossed it along with other notices i have received that looked suspicious.Sure enough, she wanted me to send $350.00 .We did not get to a discussiin of what form i was to send it in,as i said i did not wish to send money. She said ok; she understood, and would have a higher up person from the main office( or some such terminology) get in touch with me.i said ok and we hung up; I then looked them up on this website and found the foregoing review, with the same woman's name as caller.
I received the first call from Tampa. FL on 11/7/2014 from someone saying she was Kimberly Brown and I had just won $950,000 but in order to get the funds, I had to go to Walmart and obtain a moneygram for $475.00 (cash only) and the moneygram would contain 5 numbers that I should read back to Ms. Brown and then Federal Express, along with Lisa Fernandez, would deliver the $950,000 to me. I should make the moneygram payable to Shakidah Williams. I did not get the moneygram. She called back the next morning around 8:00 AM to see if I had accomplished getting the moneygram. I told her I thought this was a scam and I wasn't going to do it. She called back about a week later with the same information and I declined again. Then on 11/13/2014 Michelle White called from Delaware with the same information about winnng the money and getting a moneygram (this time for $525.00). I asked who was the telephone number of American Gaming Board so that I could verify this information. She said 866/599-4447 which I called and a man (don't know is name) said this was all legitimate.
I called Michele back and she needed my banking information (routing number and account number). Bank of American advised that it wouldn't hurt to give her that information since I was covered for fraud and when anyone receives a check from me, it has all that information on the check anyway. After I gave her the banking information, she said she needed my debit card information as well. I said I didn't own one. She then said she would have to call the Federal Reserve Board and find out if that was o.k. Called me back and said Federal Reserve Board wouldn't allow the transfer to my bank because I "had too many deposits in my account" as if that made any sense. The reason, she said, that I could initially receive the wire transfer was because I wasn't willing to spend $525 for a moneygram but I would have to have a debit card to pay the $525.00 for UPS to hand deliver the check. I said it didn't cost that much for UPS to make a delivery. She became rather rude and said that apparently I wasn't interested in receiving my check for $950,000.
