I recently paid off the balance of my auto loan and was told that I would receive my title in 30 days. I had recently moved out of state and made sure to be very clear with the representative that I was no longer living in Florida and gave them my current address in Colorado. I confirmed the address 3 times with him to make sure the title was mailed to me. After 30 days passed I called to inquire about the title. I was told that it could take up to 45 days and that it was actually already mailed! And that is when this company proved to me that the care little to none at all about their customers. Not only did the title get mailed to the wrong address, it was not even my most current address with them. I was then told they could not help me at all in getting a duplicate mailed to me. I was promised a call back from a supervisor, which I never received. Finally I was able to get a fax from them that I was told I could take to the DMV in Colorado and a title could be printed. I took it in and they laughed at me. The rep at Honda lied to me about being able to do that. I called them again and was told the only way I could another title was to pay the state of Florida myself. After requesting the documents needed to do this, I waited a week and a half for them to show up in the mail. I was promised they would be to me in 5 business days. When it didn't show up, I called and asked for a manager. I was told no one was there to help me. I pleaded with the rep to just get the letter mailed to me overnight and she had the audacity to ask me to go open a FedEx account and give her the number so I could pay for the overnight delivery. After paying them nearly $32,000 I cannot believe they would not pay the $20 to get it to me. People make mistakes. It is how you handle them that leaves an impression. In the end, I had to pay to get Honda to send me a lien satisfaction letter then I also had to pay to deliver it along with several other documents to Florida so that they can get a duplicate title mailed to me. Oh and I also had to pay for Florida to send it to me. All of tha could have been taken care of weeks sooner and much easier for all involved. In the end, my lesson learned is don't buy Honda.
