Light Bulb Scam
Fortunately, I did not send money or authorization first. I asked them to send me the product so I could examine the organization info before contributing. I just got 4 light bulbs that are suppose to be guaranteed for 10 years and an invoice for $50.00 requesting payment on receipt. They indicate they will add $1.50 notice fee for future collection attempts. Good Luck with collecting. I am returning the light bulbs at my expense because I don't even want them from a dishonest scam. I could keep them and thank them for the free gift, but I am NOT that type of person. If you want to help the Handicapped and Disadvantaged, contribute to your local associations that need help and you will know exactly where your money is going.
I take care of my aunts fincies she 90 years old. Couple of months ago she recived a post card like note in the mail that she was passed due on some merchandise she recived.Well neither one of us could figure out what she had gotten. I called the number on the note an could not ever get anyone to anwser so i left a message for them to call me.They never did! Then 3weeks later she gets a letter saying they are going to send it to a collection agency if not paid (57.45).So i called them again,still no one anwser and i leave another message and told them that untile someone told us what the 57.45 was for there would be no money sent. Mean while come to find out the letter was sent 1 day after they had called her and talked her into paying the bill by check by phone. We still dont know what she paid for and theres nothing the bank can.I think its just a common thing for people to use something like a handdicapp person or vetrine to scam eldely people out of money.There needs to be some way to stop people like this!! So people please be careful out there before you get scammed!
