On November 3, 2014 I placed an order online. I received confirmation and waited for delivery. On November 18th, 2014 I still had not seen my desk so I called to find out what was going on. I was told that I would have my desk on Wednesday. Thursday I called back and was told that it was scheduled for Friday. I explained to the representative the situation. She was rude and hung up several times.
When I finally did get a representative on the line I was told that they could not tell me when the desk would be delivered. I explained that was not acceptable and I would need the time as I am trying to travel for business this weekend and I cannot have it sitting outside all weekend. The rep told me she would talk to the delivery team and put me on hold.
After holding I requested the phone number and address for Corporate and Jake Jabs and was told to look it up online myself.
I reiterated how much time this is taking and requested that the representative go online and look it up for me since they didn't provide her with this vital information. She became combative and I put her on the phone with my secretary.
Upon announcing herself to the representative my secretary was greeted by another person who claimed to be the boss and told her that my conversations had been recorded with the representatives so they would be canceling the order. My secretary requested that she not cancel the order stating that she would be adding more work and forcing her to call the legal team. The 'boss' refused to listen. I got back on the phone and sent my secretary home.
One representative told me that the email received when I ordered included the instructions to call them and arrange delivery. As my secretary was handling the emails I nearly called her and let her go after sending her home for creating this problem. Instead I searched her emails and found the response from American Furniture Warehouse. The email did not give any instruction other than please print for your records.
Again the 'boss' insisted that she would be canceling my order. All the while I'm stating repeatedly for her to not cancel the order and that I want my desk delivered.
I've called back requesting the legal department and the owner Jake Jabs several times now and have been put on hold, hung up on, and transferred to the wrong voicemail box repeatedly.
Short of them delivering my desk tomorrow there is nothing this company can do to redeem themselves with me.
