American credit shield just ripped me off for over $4000 dollars. After months of trying to contact them I decided to cancel my agreement. Then I asked for a refund and was told there is no refund. They say the money went for the services they provided. I said what services did they provide? They did absolutely nothing. They did me worse than Robin of Wisconsin. I started trying to reach them on Dec. 8,2014. I sent about 20 emails in which I received no response. I also called and was hung up on numerous times. I left about 10 voice mail messages asking for someone to contact me. On Dec 28th I sent them emails cancelling my account. They in turn made withdrawal from my bank account to which I had to put a stop payment on. The first time someone called me was Jan 23, 2015. At that time I requested a refund from my account. They said they would process it in 7 to 10 days. It is now March 17, 2015 and nothing. I asked them for a itemized bill for these so call services, there response was we can't do that. They are a disgrace to this industry. Stay away from this band of crooks.
To whom it may concern. I recently googled a couple of debt consolidate companies to fix my credit. I came across american credit and thought it would be applicable to check them out. I spoke with a very knowledgeable representative and signed up for it with my first payment being in approximately two weeks of ( 200.00) a month. After a week of employment I lost my position and I immediately called ACS to inform them that I need to cancel the program. The account rep ( Reggie Ellison) was very understanding and told me it would not be a problem, but ofcourse like any commissioned rep, he tried to keep me on , but understood and passed my info to another rep to confirm cancellation, this is where it gets HEATED. At approximately 6:45 , I receive a call from a gentlemen indicating that he was representative to get my feedback on the company and what he can do to fix the situation that I am in. I explained everything to him ,and he STILL tried to get me to stay and even bullied me to think that even if I do come back, its going to be worst for me and the creditors wil lbe hounding me to a point where , i will have no way out. Im sorry but the creditors have stop trying a long time ago and frankly , that is not my major concern. NEVER EVER go with ACS , they are super rude, and will literally threaten you to stay with them and bully you to stay with them. This guy went above and beyond his call of duty and he talked so much, I dont even know if he even took a breathe it was this bad!!!! I could not even talk, that I ended up hanging up on him. NEVER AGAIN , i will just call my creditors directly and deal with making a payment arrangement then dealing with these guys. They say they will help you but they really dont. Just a bunch of scammers.
My sister is dealing with a similar situation with ACS. She is also planning to work directly with the creditor to settle on the debt and pay it off directly with them. I'm curious to know if ACS continued to call you when you have worked directly with your creditors.

Follow-up question re. your experience with ACS
My sister is dealing with a similar situation with ACS. She is also planning to work directly with the creditor to settle on the debt and pay it off directly with them. I'm curious to know if ACS continued to call you when you have worked directly with your creditors.
