I took a vacation from Toronto, Canada stopping in Miami then arriving in Grand Caymen island. When I arrived at my destination my radio scanner had been removed from my luggage. I called American Airlines after I arrived an they told me that Ihad waited to late to make the report and there is nothing they can do.
My concern is not only was my radio scanner stolen from inside my locked luggage but if this can be removed who is to say something could nt be inserted like a bomb! I find it strange that they don't have any video reocrds of what occurred duriing the loading of my luggauge.
I filed a report with American airline reference AA Ref#1-1010815579. Flight 665 connecting to flight 619.
I filed a police report in Brampton, Canada Ref 130502125
Reviewing information on American Airlines I found the following infomraiton
Youtube:
-Air Crash Investigation S13E05 - Queens Catastrophe HD . Fault found to be pilot
-Air Crash Investigations - S01E01 - Racing the Storm (American Airlines Flight 1420). Fault found to be the pilot
-Air Crash Investigation Lost Flight 965. Fault found to be pilot
-Air Crash investigation 2014 Chicago air crash of American Airlines Flight 191. Fault maintenace staff followed incorrect procedure
-Jamaica:American Airlines Flight 331 crash PT 1 OF 2.
This is proven examples of the operational culture that is reocrded for their highly trianed technical personel.

American Airlines sent my luggage to Dubai while I was in the Cayman Islands last week. The arrival of the luggage was delayed for four out of seven days of my vacation. Upon arrival, there were things missing from the bag (around $250 worth). American's customer service has been atrocious. Their representatives refused to help when I was on the vacation, and have not been any better upon my return. Not even as much as an "I'm sorry for this incovinience". I understand if the woman on the phone had no information, but she wouldn't even give me the time of day. She might as well have hung up the phone on me. They will not take responsibility for the four days I missed out on using my SCUBA diving (paid for in advanced), nor let me submit a claim for the stolen goods. Why did I pay these people money to steal from me? No one will give me any information about how I can recoup my losses. I have been nothing but respectful and patient while trying to deal with this matter. Such a shame the way they treat their customers.
This has happened to me several times now, and I have had enough. I tried booking 2 award seats for a flight at a particular time 6 weeks ahead of time for two family members. Simultaneously, I bought another seat for the third family member. I got all the way to the credit card page, put in my credit card, confirmed that I wanted to pay the $10 for the 2 award seats, and then an error page comes up that they are having "system difficulties. Please try again later or call customer service."
When I called customer service they said that the 2 award seats are no longer available, but if I wanted to use 100,000 miles instead of 50,000 miles they could do it. Meanwhile, while I am speaking to this person, I went to their site again, and the seats were there plain as day for the lower mile award amount. When I said this to the customer service rep, they said to refresh my screen. When I did, the seats were no longer available.
I asked to speak to a supervisor, who basically told me to deal with it, and when I said I was recording the call, he said that I was not allowed to do that. I told him that is not true, that they clearly state at the beginning of the call that calls are recorded, and not only does that give me the right to do it, but that both I and he are in Texas.
He then hung up on me.
Here is the deal - This has happened several times to me before my very eyes. American Airlines will have a flight available, but then change it while booking. First excuse out of AA is this, "Well people are booking all the time and awatrd flights get taken." My response, I called AA back and asked a lady how many seats were available on the flight...and there were more seats available then what it showed online. Just not the Award seats.
I am done with American Airlines and will fly pretty much anyone I have to besides them from here on out. Their customer service flat out sucks (for lack of a more professional term). I can safely say that in the years I have flown them, I cannot think of a SINGLE positive experience or person with them. Not one. Not to mention the old planes or tiny seats.
