My grandfather has had homeowners Insurance with Allstate since he bought his house in 1985! The house has a slate roof and the roof is in good condition, and the roof does not leak! It was repaired about two years ago because of a bad storm, But there was not much damage and it was fixed with no problems. Then today we get a call from a Allstate agent Named Scott, And the agent claimed the house was inspected and there was moss on the roof, Well of'course moss grows on slate sometimes! But he claimed we needed to replace the whole roof, And he told us if we did not replace our roof that our insurance would be canceled! Ok first of all there is nothing wrong with the roof! Second of all they are a insurance company! Our insurance company! If they inspected our house and actually saw damage, Then they should not only cover the damage, They should not be threatning to drop our insurance if we do not fix it! If it is common business practice to threaten customers to fix damage! Then what is the point in having insurance in the first place? However I still do not understand why they claim the roof needs replaced, Our roof is just fine! It sounds to me like Allstate has become shady! And we will no longer be doing buisness with them! And it would be wise for other people to stay away from Allstate also, Unless you want a insurance company that does nothing but order their customers to fix things, while they take your money from you each month or Year!
If you have platinum coverage with Allstate you are paying to much !!!!!
I switched to the Gold coverage plan and still recieve the exact same coverage. The only difference is that you don't recieve the SAFE DRIVING BONUS. The SAFE DRIVING BONUS check is on average 28 and change. By Switching To the Gold coverage you will save 41+ Dollars and still have the same coverage.
So in Laymen, They are acting like you are getting the best coverage by using the word PLATINUM. When in actuality Gold is exactly the same. For a savings of 41.00 instead of a check for 28.00
October 15, 2014 my vehicle was vandalized and broken into at my residents, my vehicle insurance company is Geico they settle my damages with my car within days but for my stolen property I had to go through my renters police with Allstate I recieved a call from them the day of the incident and gave them my property list and was told after 2weeks that all that was needed was a police report and that I was responsible for obtaining it wish I found odd but I did it to cooperate and the report was written as a vandalism report and the stolen items were not on the first report, case #14-288-0759, on October 29 2014 I called the pg county police non emergency line and had them do a amendment to the report, Amendment case # 14-302-1289 as instructed by my claim adjuster "Markeith Bolden" and it took the county police a month to finish the report and I had to obtain it from the officer at the station because they were so backed up because of the holidays, when the report is sent in to him I was asked why isn't it typed and he acted like I was giving him a false report and that I would be contacted within a few day but on a recorded conversation October 29, 2014 he said that the claim was finish and all that was needed was the report and payment would be issued, then come to find out my claim was suspended because of the police report. I'm not being treated fairly and honestly I believe because I have a speech impediment they hold that against me And my claim and this is discriminatio! Do not go with Allstate insurance company!
On about 9/17/14 I received wind damage to my roof, reported it. Adjuster inspected 10/10/14. On 10/21/14 talked to Chris Nicholas he stated he need an job invoice to prove the roof was replaced after the windstorm and hail damage on 5/1/11. Job invoice was faxed. I got a call from Chris stating he couldn't reach Mr. Joe Valencia, (contractor that replace the roof), and that if I couldn't reach him the case would be closed. I told him that I don't know how to reach him. I got the same information he has. Payment was in cash, $4,500.00. We have had several wind and hail storms in thiss area since 5/1/1

A/c units and electrical wiring were damaged. Water running everywhere and went inside of the stores, ruin insulation, ceiling tiles, lights and merchandise. We have to call constractors for emergency service. After we filed a claim, Allstate adjuster Bernadetle Ward in Dallas informed me that my policy does not cover vandalism and thief, it will cover the resulting damages. We were shock and dismay, then contact my agent immediately because this was not told when purchased the policy, but the agent no longer work there. The damage invoice was $8004.32, but Allstate adjuster Bernadetle Ward only pay $1962,29, after my deductible, the check is $962.29 and dragging for month. Allstate did not paid for the stolen cooper wire and only pay a portion of the damages resulting from it. We spoke to her supervisor Kristina Harbster and she is worse. We also purchase home and cars insurance from Allstate years and did not have any claim. This cut our trust completely. Allstate did not pay claim well and did not handle claim in a timely manner. We are not in a good hand obvious.

I filed a claim with Allstate who is the insurer of the person that hit me so I can get my car repaired. I got an estimate myself from a body shop in Boca Raton where I live, car repair shop that is approved by most insurance, including state Allstate. There are 3 damages on the back of my car, bumper scratched, a metal ornament damaged and a dent in the trunk. Powerline Auto Body Inc - (561) 347-7244; estimate $1485.70 - 3-5 days rental car - $30/day + tax. I drive an Audi 4D sedan which is in perfect condition.
I was asked by the Allstate agent to go to one of their adjusters, at King Automotive Group in Coconut Creek. I went today for my appointment, thinking that it is a simple procedure. Mr Brad Levinson,954-224-3934 Field adjuster for Allstate inspected my car and gave me an estimate. It was much lower than the estimate I got from the other shop. estimate - $653.30 Comparing the 2 estimates, I realized that the dent in the trunk, the main damage from the accident was left out. Arguing with car adjuster Mr. Levinson, I was told that he did not include the dent in the estimate, because it is unlikely that it is part of this accident and I need to prove this!!! Apparently the owner of the car did not claim any damage on her car, so.... that means that this damage was not part of this accident. Great rezoning!
So, to summarize, I have a damaged car because a quite large SUV hit me from behind, all the damage is in the back of my car and I do need to prove it? Prove what? I think my car is enough proof! After that I called Allstate, I asked for a manger that was not eager to talk to me either. After multiple requests Mr. Erik Walker, sent me back to the same adjuster. I really do not see the purpose revisiting the same person.
The big question is does Allstate works with incompetent adjusters because they do not want to pay the correct amount for the claims? I was really expected for Allstate to do something about my complaint because I did make the claim with them and not send me back to the same person.

Then he became paralyzed from a auto accident.He could not move other than his arms couldn't move his neck, back or legs. I had also been in an auto accident as one of his caretakers who helped provide care, foor him, but when I got in an accident, as a passenger in the car.All State told me I wasn't hurt denied my medical claims and refused to pay. approximately 13 years later I still have chronic pain in my back.
Dad had the most miserable time the last three years of his life he watched me struggle, life could have been so much easier for him had I been able to fulfill my obligations to him, this hurt him and me dearly.I had severe mental anguish, chronic back pain, stress, medical bills they refused to pay, credit was attacked and I could not take care of my dad because of my pain. I am in need of assistance concerning Allstate Insurance Company. My 24-year-old son, originally took out an auto policy, which was paid on time and debited from his bank account from December 2012, to March 2014, and I was added as a home insurance policy, which was also on time and debited from my account. However, although I was paying homeowners premium, I was not getting mail or emails from Allstate indicating increases and debit amounts, they were going to my son’s email. I tried to get to the bottom of that problem to no avail.
The homeowners premium was debited on the 3rd of the month. On March 3, 2014, my son called me to ask if I noticed the drastic increase, more than tripling to 375.00 scheduled to come out of my checking that day. I called the bank to stop deduction because I did not have that kind of money in my account. After calling agent, Amanda, in Muskegon, MI., it took days to find out why there was an increase, and why I was not being notified properly, of which I still did not get an answer. After many problems I decided to change the policy to an Allstate location closer, and an agent that responded to my concerns. However, since I could not be satisfied as to constant increasing of policy, I decided to not reinstate and faxed a notice cancelling policy as instructed by LaTasha at the Detroit Allstate office. I found a much better policy at AAA at less than half the cost of Allstate, which was before the 3/28/14 cancellation date recorded by Allstate.
Now my son and I are receiving credit collection notices where Allstate is demanding 747.38 for changes to home policy. The Detroit office, LaTasha, told me she could not give me information, I would have to ask the Credit Collection Service, they in turn told me they were only doing what was sent to them from the Detroit office, and if I cancelled before Allstate cancellation date there should be no problem. The Muskegon office said they no longer had anything to do with the policy. The first year I paid a 89.00 premium, then 136.12 in November 2013, increased after home inspection, 93.00 in December 2013, 92.95 in January 2014, 92.95 in February 2014, and I cancelled March 3, 2014 at 375.00. Why should I pay for insurance that was properly cancelled, and when I have been insured by AAA since before cancellation date recorded by Allstate. I as an on-time paying customer with no claims, have not had the satisfaction of being treated fairly. Please advise!

Beware of this insurance company. I have been a Allstate Client for many years. And my family did also. The agent prior was just like famiy. Never had any problems with them at all. He retired and sold to another person. Ever since after still having Allstate Insuance again and again making errors on my insurance. Now I have to deal with a collection agency. I told the collection agency what happened and I am not a client of Allstate and he said it was his job to harrass people he gets paid for this this is his job. Beware don't use Allstate Insurance. They are over priced and not good service.
I had to buy renter's insurance in the apartment complex I lived. I chose Allstate because that's what the complex recommended. Each year I renewed my lease I paid for insurance. The policy was valid only for terms of the lease, which again, was yearly. However, I would receive nonstop calls and emails from this agency -- The Sarah Nelson Agency in Bedford, TX -- on a weekly basis on all sorts of insurance including Boater's insurance (I live in an apartment)!
In 2014 my lease expired, did not renew, and moved out of the complex from which the policy I had was under. Further, I moved out of town and no longer needed renter's insurance. I notified them of the expiration of my lease, and that I would not need to renew.
I was looking over my checking account transactions online one day and I see a charge from Allstate's Sarah Nelson Agency. They autorenewed my policy using my debit card information, without me agreeing to a new policy or signing a contract. They somehow "forgot" I moved and informed them I did not need to renew a policy.
I called them up and they were not kind to me, and did not offer any sort of apology. I demanded a refund for the charge for a policy I did NOT agree to or renew. They said they would have it immediately taken care of.
After 2 weeks the charge had not yet been reversed. I had to call headquarters and scream at someone. This still did not seem to work, after another attempt and me demanding speaking to a manager I finally was reimbursed for the charges.
Suffice it to say you are NOT in good hands with Allstate; rather, their hands are in your pockets.
